HubLove - Final Clue
60Here we are, everyone - the final clue! Bet you thought this day would never come. Neither did I. *smile*
You know the drill - "unscramble the first letters". You might want to work collaboratively on figuring out what these images are. They've been zoomed in a lot so you might have a hard time figuring out what they are, exactly. Which is exactly why you'll probably all need all 3 guesses that each of you is allotted.
(BTW, this was inspired by a regular feature in GAMES magazine, a brainteaser magazine I loved as a kid.)

Tomorrow's judge: YourtheDancer.com
- Freestyle Disco - YourTheDancer.com
Home page of yourthedancer.com a website dedicated to Freestyle disco dance in the UK and Ireland, featuring Dance comps, dance schools, dancer profiles and much much more.....
Congratulations to jimmythejock who solved the final clue first. Today's topic is REVIEWS. (The objects were: Sandpaper, Ice, Wood, Envelope, Venus flytrap, Rubber band, Eye = SIWEVRE = REVIEWS)
You have until noon tomorrow (Saturday, Pacific Time) to publish up to 10 high-quality Hubs, each worth 3 points, that must:
- be on the topic of reviews; remember, keep it informative and useful; (here are just some examples "Review of top 5 cheap DVD players", "Vegetarian cookbook reviews", "Handsfree cellphone headsets - Review of top 3", etc.)
- include the tag reviews
- have at least 300 words (no credit for 299 so you might as well overshoot)
- be unique and significantly different from any other Hub or Web page.
Of course, it must comply with our Terms of Use (not overly promotional, adult, etc.) Keep in mind that in judging, we're looking for Hubs that are informative, interesting, engaging and unique.
BONUS! For each eligible point for the day's contest, you will win one entry into a daily drawing for $100! Read the HubLove Official Contest Thread for more information.
As always, we look forward to seeing the entries!
Also, look later in the day for the updated tally of points on the HubLove Contest page.

Guesses - you've got 3 each!
I loved GAMES magazine too! 3 in the upper right is wood grain...
4 is an envelope
is 4 an envelope
five might be a venus fly trap?
I'm thinking 1 is a carpet
I think the guesses on the objects look right so far. Is 1 skin?
reviews
I thought 4 was carpet on tile??
weekend
jimmy got it!
6 looks like some kind of fabric, but I'm not sure what the object is
dah, that was quick!
wow
fast Jimmy!
Good for you Jimmy!
OMG!! YAY JIMMY!!
What an awesome clue for the last day of the contest!!
wow, nice job jimmy
COOL LOL.....JIMMY
Ok - spell it out!
what was #6?
Is Jimmy eligible for the $100 bonus raffle?
Nice job! Was #6 a shoe or slipper?
reviews
6 was a sandal, I think.
no marlo i am not but good luck to those hubbers who are.....jimmy
#2 is maybe rain (on a window)?
or ice, perhaps
I thought #2 was Rubber - funny, both Rs!
Lol 6 was the only one i couldnt get but i had enough letters to stab at an answer.....jimmy
I feel bad, Jimmy, if you can transfer your 3 points to me, and I win the $100, I will split it with you, lol.
if 6 is a shoe, slipper or sandal, 1 can't be skin.
ah, a rubber band! that's hard...
lol marlo.....jimmy
Wow, I was way off on 5 of the 7 pics, LOL.
I thought it was a nut (nut and bolt)
Charlotte, how did you recognize the Venus fly trap?
We'll give jimmy 3 pts, of course, but unfortunately he can't win the $100 prize if he were to win that random drawing. It breaks my heart but those are the rules.
I'd like to point out that jimmythejock was the first to solve the first day's clue, too. Nice way to round out the contest, jimmy! :-)
And thank you all for participating day after day - it has been fun seeing how the mind works from a participants' point of view (and, naturally, everything always looks easier from the clue-creator's point of view....)
And of course, it was always amusing to see Jimmy's guesses and comments, what a great sense of humor!
I don't know, Stacie, it just came to me. I used to play these types of games in one of my dad's favorite magazines back in the late 80's
Thanks Hubpages and Fellow Hubbers, This contest has been great from start to finish and I can't wait for April for the next one.....jimmy
Seriously, the contest has been awesome and challenging and exhausting. Thank you to everyone! Jason, your clues have been crazy! You could get hired at the summer camp I used to work at to come up with their hatchet hunt clues, which are hard core.
Ha ha! Stacie - always looking for a side-gig so about that camp... ;-)
gamergirl - I wouldn't be surprised if it were GAMES magazine. Something we geeks loved. (Yes, MC7, I'm calling you a geek)
I have enjoyed the contest so much as well and it is gratifying reading here and in the Forums that you are already seeing some of the ancillary benefits. There are only 11 winners for prizes with direct financial value, but I'm hoping this exhausting experience, in which you all have outperformed all of my best expectations, will continue to repay you for years.
I've loved every minute of it! Thanks so much Jason and all the fun hubbers here!! Steph
Jason - After you announce the big winner (Stacie) tomorrow, are the others in the room going to give you some time off? Are you going to do anything special?
Yes, by all means, when all the points are counted, then the overall winner will be announced - I haven't done any of those what-if calculations yet, but it looks as if Stacie will probably be the winner of the Killer Hubbing/Blogging Package.
About time off - probably. Might visit my folks and unwind towards the end of the month. And gear up for April (don't worry, everyone - NOT a contest, and NOT as intense! But I hope you will find it cool)
Jason, is it possible to have a list of all the top 5's from each day and the winner of each once the contest is over?
Jason, do I get a Bonus Point for having the most incorrect guesses during the entire contest lol.....jimmy
Haha.. I love your humor jimmy
1 is an Sandpaper, 2nd Ice,3rd Wood, 4th Envelope, 5th Venus flytrap, 6th is an Rubber band, 7th is Eye of a lady = SIWEVRE = REVIEWS)
m not from united states but this is my first time a saw this que i know i am not going to win anything but i wanna chek myself and next i will answer first.

jimmy - there's nothing wrong with active participation! And throwing in wrong guesses is part of guessing! So you'll get a (symbolic) bonus point for participating as often as you have.
Whitney05 - I guess so. It'll take me a few hours but I'll put it somewhere, maybe as a Hub.
Good work Jimmy.
lol thanks , before this contest i had an IQ of 110, now my brain is so scrambled I have an IQ of 10.....jimmy
Thanks Chuck.....jimmy
It only feels that way right now. I think the brain is just like any other organ - use it or lose it! :-)
Cool. I just think it'd be something interesting to see. I know I haven't gotten a chance to read all of the tops, much less a portion. I'd definitely bookmark the hub and when I have time read them all.
