This is a unique description of what a quality hub is, what it contains and doesn't contain, and how it affects the guest reading your hub.

This is from the perspective of your "Traffic" or "Visitor".

I formatted this into a "personal" (like you'd find on eHarmony or match.com) in tribute to Valentines Day.

This is a unique approach to bring you something valuable and yet coated with the spirit of valentines day (passion) without making it a traditional valentines day article on how to make candy or heart shaped boxes (Unique?)

This is my way of preserving its timeless (not just good on Valentines Day) essence. The main goal of this hub however is to show you (and drive home) the "Relationship" between your articles and your HubPage visitors.. In a way that I'm sure 99.9% of you will relate to fully *smiles*

I hope you find this enlightening. It's definitely unique.. And for best results keep your mind in the gutter.. (in that light I'd like to dedicate this hub to the show three's company, where I got the idea in the first place of mixing two realities into one entertaining yet informative hub)

Remember all those episodes where someone over heard one of the others talking and their mind was in a whole other place(usually the "Gutter")? well that's the theme of this hub, only both places aren't contrasting (not really) their parallel but well let's just say the words are written one way but with a simple shift of your mind into the gutter the "personals" theme comes out nicely in the same set of words :)

Laughter is a great way to learn something and to retain it.. although the information in this hub is not too useful to a seasoned hub author it is to a newbie. Seasoned hub authors however can still see the humor in it and may get a laugh all the same :) So enjoy.

For fun realize that 90% of this article is metaphoric. So benign sounding things like "Nails clipped", don't mean finger nails but are metaphores for "Nailing the point of the paragraph concisely" and "Clipped" means "edited well".

It could also mean points nailed and paragraphs edited down so you're not going on and on about a point) With that, I hope you enjoy this artistically/poetically written and informative hub The Jerrico Effect Style (HubTronics?)...

I'm a visitor looking for a HubPage. Just to get the pet peeves out of the way (and if these are you to filter you out before you waste your time reading my personal) Let's get a few things straight.

What I am NOT looking for in a Hub:

A pet peeve of mine are those hubs that, instead of bringing flowers or quality conversation bring canned spam?

Who likes spam anymore anyway (or ever did)!?? How is it this product even survives when nobody likes it? None the less the people who would bring this on a date with me are typically selfish individuals with no real goals to enlighten me anyway so its a good barometer not to waste my time.. But if this is you please save your pitch for someone who wants to hear it. I'm looking for quality.

What really urks me is when they try to pass it off as something genuinely good.

You know the aww I notice your sick (need something), here's some "soup" to boost your immune system (fake solution that tricks you into looking deeper before they insult your intelligence).. (???) Then just when you think your on a good date here comes the pitch.. If your going to give me a bad time at least buy me dinner first- Not spam cloaked as chicken noodle soup. (See picture to the right).

I'm tired of wasting my time with losers. Those phony's that I initially "clicked" with because they seemed like they were legit at first glance.

They claimed/misled me to believe their was sustenance in the next step, giving me the impression that they were the "genuine article" and upon inspection I find anything but.. usually very little real content, and what is there doesn't really make me anticipate interaction. This is not fair and is the easiest way to lose my respect . You won't win me over as a "fan" this way.

A quality hub even one that advertises affiliate links will offer at the very least a page of quality and valuable content. You don't go on a date with a cheap suit and talk about it the whole date do you?

No you wear an Armani suit and mention it once then focus your attention on your date's interests not your own needs. This brings up one more point; don't use a cheap affiliate link. If your going to sell me on something at least make it something worth my while.. Otherwise what's the point? To annoy me? You won't get a second date that way.

(or a "Click" at the end of the night (ad click hehe))

I'm looking for the "Real Article". One that's well groomed, clean "cut", with good "nails", easy on the eyes/attractive in appearance and that has a personality that is overall "unique".

I'm looking for a hub that is "well spoken" and Intelligent. One that speaks to ME, my mind, and doesn't insult my intelligence. I like a hub that as well as shows its most attractive points, drops subtle hints I can recognize easily.

It's "key-" that were on the same page when we exchange "-words" that have meaning and really drive the actions in the body home and network all the elements of our date nicely and comfortably.

Keywords dropped now and again help us to see eye to eye when were both on the go and looking for each other. For example when we text each other in the search box, these keywords are our way of consolidating whole ideas into inside jokes that help us get one another faster and sustains our relationship longer building bridges of communication to sustain our success!

Those hubs that understand this often get and keep my attention, especially when I need to find you again as you have what I need.

I like to contact my directory and be able to find your number quickly when I need you so this is important if were going to have any type of relationship that lasts.

Know what I mean?

Attraction is a must both physically, visually, and mentally for this to work.

Personally, I like a hub that excites me right away, and turns me on- to things I haven't experienced before (unique). I don't like playing games or wasting my time so the hub I want should be easy to "read".

Like anyone I expect nothing less than an orgasmic experience when embarking on a new powerful hub experience. The beauty of a hub is it is wrapped up in your essence, it takes me through an experience and point of view only you can give me.

Two people stating the same thing will say different things. When I enter your hub I expect to be stimulated, you could say I enter your hub with high expectation say an A+ grade, and every time you miss something I need you go down until your hub is an F.

I want to give you an A and keep it there so If you plan on taking me on a hubdate (want me to read your article and give you a click later :) I'm going to tell you upfront what I expect. If you don't get a good night "click" you have noone to blame but yourself.

One thing I really like is when a hub gives good head ings. I find it very relaxing and stimulating at the same time when a hub goes there without me having to suggest it.

Some hubs don't do this and it really irritates me. I don't get it, why wouldn't you? It's not as bad as you think, you just have to wrap your mind around it in a positive way and the skill of giving good headings becomes second nature.. You develop a taste for it pretty quickly, and your guest will love you for your efforts. I think a lot of people think its like coming up with tags but really its easier as you just read into the base paragraph then summarize the context into one appealing sentence.

The long flow of paragraphs and no headings make it hard for me to preheat my intellectual oven. When I go to a hub page I want to scan down the page, build mental folders and then indulge in the topics in the article. I want to fully absorb the body of what I want to enjoy so when I indulge in it later I won't miss a single sensation.

When a hub doesn't give headings it's hard for me to get into what they are offering. The headings process is like a nice teaser to the main event and it feels good to experience the passion of the article before really getting deep into the main section of the hub. Not giving headings is like taking away the foreplay.

Good headings help me to really get into it. It's a great way to warm up for the main event, to really take in the hub's body and indulge in its unique mental and visual message. (Did I spell that right??). You don't have to go all the way with the heading, you can stop before the full load of the paragraphs meaning is projected. The heading is just there to give the reader an idea of coming attractions in the next several blocks of text.

I'm impressed by a hub that shows experience in this aspect as it helps me come faster to a decision of weather or not I want to immerse myself deeper into the middle sections of the hub's body. To let go and really indulge in the pleasure of the hubs interactive nature.

I love when I get to "click" with a hub almost immediately. I find I enjoy the interaction much more intensely when their are "hot spots" all over the hub I can interact with. For example, sometimes while I'm deep into a hub I like to put on a movie to really put me in the mood. Nothing helps you immerse yourself into the body of someone's hub like a relevant movie about the hubs "features".

Teasing with headers is fine, but don't abuse this feature or your visitors will hold a grudge

I like a good tease as well as the next person but if you're going to mess with my head, at least follow through and satisfy my needs, theirs no need to frustrate me with inconsistency and empty promises.

A good article is consistent and follows a repeating and escalating pattern of flow. Headers can make or break your articles appeal right away so make sure your doing it right the first time. This may take practice to get good at it but you'll get it if you just get out there and start.

Forget what your less experienced friends told you, as they may themselves be in the wrong state of thinking to make a good go of this skillset. Before long you'll be changing their mind and helping each other with tips and tricks that make your work more enjoyable.

Start with the right mindset about the process. Don't think all the negitive things your thinking about it, you will just build bad filters and filter all your movements through these bad mindstates. The hardest part is getting your head around how intoxicating it can be once you get it down like a pro.

Give good headers in relation to the paragraphs. When formulating your headers just make sure you take me in, from the starting point then down to the base concept. Repeat this every time a new point comes out. Be sure to make each new cycle of header/paragraph/points more interesting and enlightening than the last.

Build up to an explosive and satisfying feeling of accomplishment as you show me something I never saw before reading your page. This is sure to excite me mentally and make me come back to your hubs, possibly stimulating a deeper experience each time I enter and leave your hubs.

If you do it right each new header point should escalate my awareness of the base concept of your hub and make me explode with new comprehension before I leave, and when I do leave your hub I should feel refreshed and elevated as I've been given a gift I've always wanted - Insight I never saw before and understandings I've never felt before.

In some instances your headers may be all one will need to experience(for the moment).. If time constraints for example are shackling me, I will just get the headers now and endulge in the hub more fully and passionately at another time, but the head ers will motivate me to come back and finish the experience. Without the headers I may not have gotten excited enough to give bookmarking the page a second thought and thus I may never have returned.

The Main header of your article should be given even more attention

If its the main header of the hub make sure the body of your article satisfies the point, again to the "base concept" described above only instead of just one part of the article you should envelope the whole body with it. it should take in the whole girth of the article so that the point is satisfied in a more penetrating fashion.

Don't write good headers and then not follow through to the expectations you built up. This will irritate and dislodge your articles appeal. It's a trust issue.

Finish what you start, don't just tease and leave me dissatisfied. A hub that's inconsistent will be seen as negative and irritating and one that teases but doesn't follow through where it counts *wink*. As someone who you want to return again and again to see what new hubs you create, you want to assure I am always pleased by your hub's experience as this will determine if I even allow you to entertain me again with your passion.

Just the facts, keep the ranting to your "Blogs" (Bloaks?)

I'm not one to enjoy a lot of ranting and mindless chatter when it comes to hub dates- No I want to get right to the point of why I'm there.. I want to just skip the BS and get down to business.. Wouldn't you? Why waste time when theirs serious stimulation to be generated? If you don't know how to stimulate your guests then you need not reply to my personal either, after all stimulation, learning new exciting things and experiences is why I'm here in the first place..

I have other hubs to visit after yours so the best way to keep me here is to give me what I want, what I need, what I desire.. if you do that I have no reason to rush to respond to another hub's "page"(call?) right?

I want to "Play the Field", try out other hubs and learn more about who I am and what I like. You understand don't you?

I'd like to meet a hub that has high scores embedded, which shows a lot of interactivity with others. I don't like a hub that just sits there flat and offers me no venues to further stimulate my research efforts inside it. When I fulfill my needs with one hub I often like to go out and find a new one. The nakid truth is I need to experience alot of hubs for variety, its just who I am. I hope you can handle sharing me with other hubs in every way.

From one hub I like to take that experience and find other hubs to relate my new lessons to so I can take my experiences to a whole new level of bliss.

I like a hub that interacts with other attractive hubs that are on the same page. Nothing is more attractive than a confident, generous hub, that's a social butterfly and shares me with other hubs with just as much but maybe different experiences and stimulations for my mind. I can just imagine the way this would feel, to effortlessly enjoy one hub then like a bee pollinating a flower, move on to the next and the next and the next.

I enjoy an intuitive flow from one hub to the next. A major turn off is being trapped into one hub and the only way out is to return to Google to try to find another piece of my research. Sites that assist me in this make me want to return back for other topics later.

Each new hub I enjoy makes me a better person.. and I have no problems growing with each one as they are highly stimulating, most hubs won't point you to another hub that isn't as good or better than they are so this is a very exciting concept don't you think?

Sometimes I like to go back to a hub I read that sent me to another one because what I learned in the other hub has opened up a whole new side of the first hubs information. Sometimes when I date other hubs I discover that the hub I thought was inferior was actually superior so I'll return and do it again, really absorb in the message, learning about things I missed.

This helps me drastically when I'm trying to figure something out and I appreciate it. Are you like this? or do do only point to your hubs or external sites other than hubpages?

This brings me to my next point. I don't think I'm ready to settle down to just one hub exclusively just yet. I like to check out all kinds of hubs, and enjoy variety of experiences.

Sometimes I like to open up two or three hubs at the same time and compare the bodies to one another to see which one excites me the most, so it helps when a hub hooks me up with other quality hubs so I don't have to go find them. Do you do this? or are you a selfish hub who only wants me to feel satisfied with you?

If this is you don't respond to my personal as this will never work.. I am a vibrant and growing intellectual and I require constant stimulation from different hubs. Maybe some day I'll settle down with my own hubpages profile and raise some hubs of my own but right now I'm just looking and enjoying life. I hope you understand.

If you don't take good care of your "articles" or your articles stink please don't respond to this personal, ungroomed articles are a major turn off.

I'm not shy, I'll always comment on the experience I get from a good hub, after all good work should be commended and I'd like the world to know just how much your efforts helped me and gave me Interlectual pleasure.

When I find a hub I enjoy I book mark it for a second date, and I like to tell my friends so they can have a go at it too. If you play your cards right with me I'll send all my friends to meet you too. Don't forget they have friends and their friends have friends so this could be very good for you!

Good plumbing is a must (if you know what I mean- Links), Quality Articles always make me want to come back for more. But hubs with lots of roads in and out of the area make me really enjoy the trip.

Bottom Line

I want to meet a socially outgoing hub, that's not afraid to meet new people and make friends, introduce me to other attractive hubs as well as share ideas and exchange numbers (links). I'm looking for a hub that's not selfish but likes to network with others, a hub that enjoys giving as well as receiving.

Don't clench too tightly to any one date, as their are plenty to go around and by helping us find other hubs to date your helping the flow of love.. when I settle down and get hubed I'll be sure and return the favor.. you will be rewarded for helping me.
