Venus My First Love

Oh how Beautiful Thou Art
Oh how Beautiful Thou Art

A Lady Named Venus by dsalwriteart

I look into the Universe with Amazement since we the United States put Hubble into operation I've this uncanny desire to go and explore the universe. I have the same feeling about my wife. I know its a pipe dream but it never hurts to dream. I can remember as a boy when our school went to the Planitarium we all gathered round' this machine that when turned on, would light this black dome shaped ceiling, that would light up with constellations of the universe. I was intrigued by it to say the least but when I saw that we were going to be able to see venus or was it mars no matter the point is that I was so enthrawled by it I set my calender to the day and time when we could see the planet.

The night before I remember saying to myself " tomorrow is the day don't forget to set your alarm for 5:30 am". Well I got to doing my homework ,eating supper and washing the dishes and umteen other things. Lets put this into perspective though, it was a Friday and there were many things going on it was a Friday! So after watching a movie or two I finally get to sleep and wouldn't you know it I forgot the ..yep you guessed it. The ALARM!

I must have had an angel with me that night because for the life I don't think I could've woke up on my own. So I get up it is now Saturday 6:00 am The Sun is just perking his head out and the rays are still visible.

I remembered what the teacher was telling us about what direction to search the skies for the planet and lets just say it was venus because I think I was looking for a female at the time anyway. So I look and look and look and look and there she was- Venus in all her glory was staring me right in the face and I didn't miss her at all, it was as if we were meant to be together. I seered a hole in the surface that morning, I was staring so intensely. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was so amazed by it I stayed my glistening eyes on her until I could see her no more.

When she disappeared was a little disappointed but I knew it wouldn't last forever. She had to go and be with her solar friends and I had to return to my human friends and our affair was over however she is still in my heart as one of my favorites. I'll always remember her as the Venus that got away. if I could travel to her that would be the most wonderful thing I could do In my entire life. I would die for the opportunity to see her where she abides. For now I'll just gaze through the eye of the sky, Hubble Telescope.

The End

While we know that Hub pages are just computer generated spaces in servers they act similar to that of real space and are connected with atmospheric lines of matter which link us to each other.
