Adding Quality Photos Helps to Make You Money on Hubpages

Adding quality and relevant images to your hubpages helps you to make money and give the reader a pause from reading text.  Having an engaged reader of your hubpage will harness interest long enough for them to ponder clicking on a Google Ad.  When the reader clicks ona Google ad, Hubpages will get 60% of the earnings and you will receive 40%.   The hubpage article needs to be interesting and captivating to entice the reader to click on the Google Ad. The captivation of your reading audience can be achieved from the relevant images that you select to accompany your hubpage article.

As a rule, do not select your image until after you have completed your hubpage article. The text in your article has the relevance that you must connect with the image or photo. Depending on the topic, you can also decide on what type of image or photo to attach to your hubpage article. As the topic however may not be as colorful as information in the text, it is best to wait until after you have completed the hubpage article.

A lengthy hubpage article is a happy hubpage article because the Google Adsense "bot" has more text to select for the popular Google search engine. Your focus should not be on the Google Adsense "bot" but on providing relevant content for your hubpage article. The Google Adsense "bot" was mentioned because just as the more content the merrier for Google, the more content you add will give you more content in which to select your image or photo. The more content you enter, the likelihood is that you will have more of a selection of images or photos to choose from.

For example, if you write a few paragraphs about traveling to a certain part of the country and do not include information on outlining areas, you may have missed an opportunity to select additional images of the outlining areas. Choosing imaging or photos from the part of the country that you are writing about is fine, but you may fine more beautiful images or photos from the outlining areas. The more relevant content and adjacent information, the better because of the more variety of text you have of which to select images or photos.

Select images and photos that are relevant to the topic of your hubpages. If you are writing about a celebrity, then it would be appropriate for you to have a image or photo of the celebrity. If you are writing about traveling, then you should provide relevant images or photos about the place of interest.Sometimes it may be appropriate for you to select a image or a photo of a current event that was only mentioned a few times.

For example if you write about Younger Men Relationships with Older Women and mentioned Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, you may want to include a picture of the two of them together. Even though the entire article is not about Demi and Ashton, by extracting the image from the text and including it on your hubpages, you have given colorful visibility to your hubpage that has relevance.

How to Place Images and Photos on Hubpages

The process of placing relevant images and photos on your hubpage article is very simple. Once you have written your hubpage article of ample content with quality and relevance, then it is time to select your relevant images and photos. The word relevance is important here because you are the writer and the publisher. You have to know how to select relevant images and pictures for you hubpages.

Use Google Images or Yahoo Images from the respective search engines to select your relevant image or photo. Adhere to the size requirements of the images careful to select the ones that Hubpages accept. The images and photos must be gif, jpng or jpeg.  If you select a picture that shows pixels or shows little boxes of unclarity, reducing the width to half or quarter width from the edit photo capsule will size it down to a clearer picture.

Select the image or photo and save the image to your computer. Select the photo capsule and open it from the edit block of the capsule. Select the option of using the image that you have saved to your computer. Get in the habit of saving the image you select to your computer as you may want to use the photo again.

For example, if you write a hubpage article about exercise and you find a relevant image or photo from Google or Yahoo Images, you may be able to use the same image or photo for another hubpage article. Save the image or photo to your computer. There is no hubpage rule that says that you must use your relevant image or photo once. The usage of your relevant images and photos is totally up to you as the drafter, writer and publisher.  Also the number of times you use your relevant images or photos is up to you so save all of your images to your computer.

Do not use the URL addresses on the images or photos as the usage will be a one time basis. Do not save the image or photo using the web option on the edit photo capsule. You may save the URL addresses from Google and Yahoo images or photos by locating the properties after left clicking on the image or photo itself. However, when you save the URL, the relevant image or photo will not be available with the URL or address. Without the image or photo, you will have to click on the URL to get the image or photo. This step is not needed if you save the image or photo directly to your computer. So do not use the URL or the option web on the edit part of your photo capsule.

After you selected your computer to save the relevant image or photo on the photo option, do not forget to save the image. You select the photo capsule, click on edit and select browse to get the saved image from the computer. You would have saved the image or photo initially from Google image or Yahoo image. Save the image or photo and then place the photo or image to the side of the article using the arrows on the photo capsule.

All of these steps are done in the edit box of the photo capsule. Photos should never be placed at the top of the article as a book because Google Ads are normally placed on the top of the articles. Let the reader get right to reading your article and then naturally glance to the right side of the article for the relevant image or photo.

Select relevant images for your lengthy quality hubpage content and save the images to your computer for subsequent usages. Your readership will be enhanced and guess what, you may make a few dollars in the process without intentionally trying. Do your best to select relevant image and photo placement to optimize your quality hubpage article.
