Hubpages is a go between wikipedia and a blog. Hubpages provide information of new, relevant and interesting  content. Hubpages allow for a healthy interchange of  comments on the hubpage article. The hubpage comments are where you will want to add to your fan base among other pages on the site. The hubpage article's comments should be your first source of fans because these are readers who have found relevance in your writing. They have paid you with their time by commenting on the contents of your article. Everyone who you approve of as a commenter should become a part of your fan club and you should become a fan likewise.. Why are you adding random commenters to your fan club? You are adding these random commenters because they found interest in your hubpage articles.

Also these fans are networking segments to other websites that can monetize your hubpage. Networking is not only good for LinkedIn for job offers but is good on hubpages to find out from other hubbers' experiences  with other websites. Their opinion of your article lead you back to their hub home page who you may recognize and meet in the forum to discuss off topic but relevant information about making money online.  Fan clubs makes hubpages a little less lonely with the friendly and active exchange of comments and posts.  Also if you are working hard on a hubpage article, you can save the article unpublished, visit the forum of fans, get refreshed with an active interchange and return to complete and publish the article.

Who would get on the computer without even the wee bit of perception of making money even if it is not the internet millions advertised as spam. Ascertain that you speak to your new fans on off topic subjects on the forum as you do not want to be cited for spreading spam or information that is not verified.

The beauty of comments is that they are opinions that can rarely be proven with very little truth except honesty from the writer. Comments have a way of connecting fans where you can share real life experiences if you like to receive information about other sites on the internet. Fans are great to have but remember to have a connection with them and network your knowledge of hubpages through the forums where you can get fans also.  If you are a seasoned hubber, you should look for new hubbers coming online and offer them advice when needed or requested.

In that same line of thinking, you should use the common interest of a topic or article to connect and network to build your fan base. Just remember to not concentrate on numbers but on the people behind the numbers and the person behind each number.  Each one of these people has the possibility of becoming a fan and vice versus.
