Hubpages Crushes the Competition at Driving Traffic to your Blog
54I haven't been a member of Hubpages for long but I've noticed that Hubpages offers the best opportunity to actually bring in traffic to your online content. I'm a blogger and I have two blogs that I currently have running (www.ussoccerthoughts.com and http://talesfromtheportfolio.blogspot.com) and I've been doing a lot of online research on how to increase traffic to your site. I've tried a ton of things and I haven't found anything that had as immediate of an impact as http://hubpages.com has had. Whether I'm just creating a hub with already published material from my blog or writing original content for a hub, i've noticed that Hubpages has been able to bring more traffic to my material than any of the other sites I've tried and it takes less work to do so.
I posted my blog on sites such as www.technorati.com, www.blogcatalog.com, www.squidoo.com and http://delicious.com/, and so many other sites that I cannot even remember their names. So far I have not seen a bump in traffic whatsoever. Blogcatalog is a pretty good site and has delivered some traffic but most of the traffic that I got from that site is other bloggers who are just visiting your site so that you'll return the favor. You won't get any actual fans or followers on this site. Blogcatalog is more of a social networking site than it is a place to get legitimate traffic to your site. It also was a painstaking process to get people to come to your site. You had to put in a lot of leg work to visit other blogs and write comments and then you had to hope that the blogger would return the favor to you. Technorati and Delicious have not bore any fruit for me and seem to favor major sites as opposed to start-ups such as myself. None of these has been able to generate the traffic that I have gotten in less than a week on Hubpages and I only have to spend about 15-20 minutes a day to write up each hub.
The best part of using Hubpages is the user-friendly set up. Aside from the actual content in your hub setting up each page is incredibly easy while offering a wide variety of options to enhance your site. Other than Blogger.com, I have not found a site that allows you to customize each one of your entries with such ease and depth. Compared directly to Squidoo.com, the site who's platform is most similar, Hubpages is lightyears ahead in terms of user content and traffic generation. Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time on Squidoo if I were you.
If you are looking to draw traffic to your blog or attempting to increase your adsense revenue then you must start publishing on Hubpages. You can continue to create your blog and maintain that side of your business plan but spending a little time to create content on Hubpages will prove more worthwhile than you can imagine. Hubpages has also helped increase traffic to my own blogs since I have posted a link to my sites on each of my hubs. There really is no downside to posting content on Hubpages. In fact, if you're looking to earn any revenue off of writing online content, then you would be a fool not to join Hubpages. I know this sounds like an infomercial for Hubpages but I really am just so pleased with what I've been able to accomplish since I joined this site. It's the best move I've made since I got into this hustle. Write, post, get traffic, earn. It's that simple.
