Hubpages: How to Group Your Hubs
61A Group of Ol' Cowhands
Why group?
I was helping a fellow hubster with grouping, and thought I'd publish to the community how to group your hubs together.
Grouping is a great way to help your readers find what you have written by categorizing them. It is also useful if you want to split a hub across multiple pages.
After you have set up your group, there will be a drop down box on the top right side of your hub that features all of your hubs that you have set up in this group. Now your readers can quickly go to any of your related hubs by using the drop down box, or by clicking the "next" and "previous" links at the bottom of your hub.
Grouping your hubs together
1. Go to one of your hubs.
2. Click "Edit this hub" in the author center. It's the first link in the pink box at the top of the page.
3. In edit mode there is a box at the top of the page with tags, "settings", "summary",
"text", "group", and "help".
4. Click on the "group" tab.
5. Click on the drop down box by the word "group".
6. Click "new" then type in the group name you'd like, for example, Recipes.
7. Check the box "show group name in navigation drop down." This will allow you to see this group name when you want to group your other hubs about recipes.
Now all you have to do is repeat these steps for your other hubs, but instead of clicking "new" click "recipes" and it will automatically group this hub with the others. Or if you would like to create a new group, click "new" again. For example, I have created a bunch of different groups: grammar, kid products, parenting, etc.
I hope this helps. Feel free to leave a comment with any other questions.

Thanks, Jimmy. ;)
Thanks Robin. I'm all grouped now!
Thanks, this is going to be great for my hubs. I didn't know I could do this, so I really appreciate it.
This was very good. I discovered the Group feature early on and have found them to be very useful in organizing my Hubs.
Glad it helped Connie and Sapheyerblu. Chuck, I have scrolled through your hubs because they are grouped. I think it's a great way to get more traffic to your hubs as well as being a useful tool for readers.
this is great Robin, thanks, once upon a time I remember you telling me how to do this via a comment, now it seems so long long ago.....
thanks Robin i spent most of the weekend doing this .....jimmy
Oh, I'm sorry to take away your precious weekend time. You have so many hubs to organize; I bet it did take most of the weekend!! You prolific writer, you! ;)
Thank you, this helps out a great deal for a newbie, like myself.
Glad it helped, Ron! Welcome to the HubPages community!!
My problem is that I know I can do this but I either start out with either t general a group or too specific a group and then have to change it. How does that affect being able to get to my pages?
This will help me to add some organization to my disorganized methods of writing and complete lack of organization. Thanks for the help!
Thanx Robin,
This hub was of great help to me in creating a hub groups.
