Hug-the-memories

Hug-the-memories moment passes by the evening porch.

The aromatic whisper of just brewed coffee does not match

the scent of the coffees; we once had, at suburban cafés

by the nonexistent road. Today’s newspaper which comes late,

here, in this land of self imposed excommunication;

is open at the obituary page. Wind plays with it,

the way, a kitten plays with a ball of wools, spreading the thread.

Memories spread. Chasing butterflies, chasing girls, chasing dreams,

chasing destructions, chasing failures… they all fly around;

like scraps of papers, basted by a lost string; roam the city.

Is the cup of coffee supposed to be this poignant, harsh?

He waits till his tongue savors the sweetness hidden in the tastes.

He can pay visit to an old hostel, new occupants can’t

supplant  the echoes, still can be heard through the long corridor.

Very impressive - the aromatic whisper of coffee and communication? Bongs do it to perfection :)
