Vintage Hull Pottery

Hull Pottery was started back in 1905 in Ohio. They originally created the company in order to create practical, useful items. But they quickly evolved into selling very high quality decorative vases and other items.

By the 1920s, Hull Pottery was widely known for producing beautiful decorative ceramics. They even had a facility in New York.

The most popular piece ever produced by Hull was the Red Riding Hood cookie jar, originally produced in 1943.

They are also known for producing beautiful ceramic vases with floral motifs. Many of these cases are pink and green and feature orchids, magnolias, roses, tulips, and calla lilies.

They also expanded to sell piggy banks, liquor bottles, and even cosmetics containers!

Hull pottery still sells very well. It's not incredibly rare, so it can be had at good prices if you watch eBay. But it's getting to be pretty hard to buy these inexpensively at garage sales and flea markets, because so many people now know what they are. My grandmother bought several pieces in the 70s and 80s for just $0.50 to $1.00 each!
