Most companies develop assessment procedures which, on the one hand, to validate the recruitment and selection systems used by the company, and secondly to measure the individual contribution to attain its strategic objectives. Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the performance of employees and identify training needs to bridge these gaps.

The individual meets, also a questionnaire of self that includes, generally, the following issues:

- What are the objectives we set for this year?
- To what extent these objectives have been achieved?
- In which it feels are its strong points?
- In which it feels are its weaknesses?

The assessment made by the evaluator and the evaluated is the starting point for discussion to develop in an interview scheduled for the end.

The performance evaluation system should, as a result of its implementation, strengthen the motivation and commitment of individual hows assessed values, culture and business objectives of the Company.

Has consequences that are reflected in three areas, summarized in the following scheme:
