45Once the employee was selected for the interview and accepted the post offered, it's time to sign the contract.
The Labor Code was approved by Law No. 99/2003 of 27 August, to enter into force on 1 December 2003;
Article 10 defines the employment contract as:
The employment contract is one by which a person undertakes, through a
consideration, to provide its business to another or others, under the
authority or direction of these.
It is therefore a legal relationship of employment which are subject to employee and employer.
- The worker - who are engaged in an intellectual or manual work, for others, is under the dependence and receive a salary.
- The employer - one that, in exercise of its management, hires the
worker for the exercise of certain functions, upon payment of a fee.
