Humminbird Fishfinder 585c review
59Is the humminbird fishfinder 585c worth it?
Man, the last time I went fishing was probably 10 years ago, and we just dropped our lines in the water and waited for fish to bite. I guess people want technology to help them no matter what they do.With the Humminbird Fishfinder, at first it seems all too easy.
This thing sees down to 1000 feet! You see a bunch of computer fish images with numbers on them, showing how deep they're swimming. It's weird to "spy" on the fish world and see what's down there. We could even tell that there wouldn't be any bluefish out there because the water temperature sensor showed the temp of the water
The Humminbird 585c we bought came with a GPS navigation system, it tells you the depth of the water you're in as well with a depth sounder, and it even tells you the temperature of the water.
When it gets warmer later this year, I noticed that we can scope out good scuba diving spots, because as you're moving through the water, the fish finder is mapping out the contours of the lake bottom. If you're looking for an all-in-one fishfinder, I heartily recommend you buy the Humminbird Fish Finder 585c.
The only feature it's missing is a robotic arm to scoop the fish out of the water and throw them on deck. I looked at buying the Humminbird Fishfinder 595c (more expensive) or the Humminbird Fishfinder 535 (black and white screen), the 343c (not enough features), so I settled on the 585c.

Looks like a good device, maybe a bit overdone, but good.
