In the winter of 1955 the birth of the Original Green Welly was to be unveiled. The Original Hunter Welly wasn't to become popular until the late 1980's when Lady Diana Spencer wore a set in her engagement photographs to Prince Charles. They were now to become an essential item for those guided in upmarket country fashion.

Kate Moss was photographed at one of the world's largest music festivals known as "Glastonbury" wearing a set of Hunter Original Black Wellingtons. Kate's choice of footwear had such an impact on Hunters that the Original Black Wellies went out of stock before the summer had even ended. Proving that not only are Wellies functional but fashionable at the same time.

The Original boot is Hunters most popular Welly sold today, but how do Hunters manage to keep up with the times of fashion. They do this by updating and extending the Originals colours, they are no longer sold in just Green, Black or Navy. The Original have a new twist called the Origianl Gloss and come in a range of funky colours with a high gloss finish.

Who would have thought you could match your lip gloss with your Hunter Wellies!
