Husqvarna Viking Designer SE

The Husqvarna Viking Designer SE allows you to customize your designs directly on the screen. You can scale, mirror and rotate designs, change thread colors and combine with other designs. You can even duplicate or resize designs directly on it's large LCD screen.

Your combinations and changes are shown in 3D on the screen instantly as you work on them.  Husqvarna Viking Designer SE allows you to save the customized design in Designer SE’s built-in memory or on a USB Embroidery Stick.

Husqvarna Viking SE's Awesome Sensor System

The Sensor System automatically lowers and raises the presser foot and adjusts the presser foot pressure for any fabric thickness, ensuring perfect feeding. There is even an extra lift position, where the Sensor System lowers the feed teeth for maximum space to slide thick sewing projects, like quilts, under the foot easily.

Arrows on the screen will show the needle stop position. Stop sewing with your needle down and the Sensor System automatically raises your presser foot to a pivot position, a perfect floating position for the thickness of your fabric. Both hands are free to guide your fabric.

Husqvarna SE Sewing Advisor

Sewing Advisor was a major selling point for me when I was considering the Designer SE.  Husqvarna Viking Designer SE. The Sewing Advisor allows you to enter your fabric type, weight and sewing technique and get perfect stitches automatically, eliminating the need for test sewing.

The Sewing Advisor sets the best stitch, stitch width and length, thread tension, sewing speed and Sensor Foot Pressure. It also recommends the best presser foot, the proper needle, if stabilizer is needed and more.

The Sewing Advisor is always active, ready to give you the best possible sewing advice.

The Designer SE also features the world’s first Embroidery Advisor ™ that instantly recommends the best needle and stabilizer to use, as well as  top and bobbin thread instantly when you enter your type and weight of fabric.

Designer SE Even Has USB Ports

The Husqvarna Viking Designer SE features two USB ports that enable you to transfer designs directly to and from your pc, optional floppy disk drive, or optional CD drive, through a USB cable or via a USB Embroidery Stick. The 32 Megabyte Husqvarna Viking USB Embroidery Stick can save thousands of designs containing up to 12.8 million stitches!

Husqvarna Viking 3D Embroidery Software

The Husqvarna Viking 3D Embroidery Software is a technically advanced, yet highly user-friendly range of programs. This can be purchased separately or in the Ultimate embroidery software package, 3D Professional, the programs offer all kinds of possibilities to create personal embroidery designs with professional quality on your pc.

If you own a Mac, you'd have to be able to run Windows on your Mac.

  • Recycle old sweater into pair of mittens - Mon, 08 Feb 2010 PSTThe Spokesman-Review2 days ago

This is the time of year when kids and adults like me lose one or more of their mittens. Our pairs simply don’t match up in February the way they did in November. If you’re in that same predicament, try this quick and super-easy sewing activity to replenish your supply for the weeks left in the season. Make a new pair of mittens from an old sweater.
