Imagine what it would be like to be able to enjoy nature. To be able to breath the fresh air and watch the sun make the plants thrive.

I'd like that to, but the truth is when I go to the green house they roll out the red carpet for me offer me a drink and a snack. Why, because I kill plants! I'm a great customer. I always come back for more plants. I tried an herb garden in the house and they lasted less than a week.

If the green house knows I'm trying to grow something they order extra. The most embarrasing part is I buy all the extra they order.

I really love the plants of all kinds and I've killed all kinds.

My point is I am trying something new and I have mixed feeling about it.

My Mom and sister both have big beautiful outside gardens, but I just don't have room.

So let me explain what I am trying to do. This Hydroponic Gardening is what I'll try to explain.

Hydroponics - The Benefits The advantages of Hydroponics cannot be quantified. Some of the vast merits of using Hydroponics include:

• Using minimum of water, fertilizer, and pest control, makes hydroponics an ecologically sound method to garden.

• No digging or weeding, minimal space required, continuous cropping, superb flavour.

• Non-arable land may easily be facilitated.

• Growing mediums can be re-used and recycled.

• Regular nutrient testing ensures all elements are present in their desired concentrations. Unwanted buildups of undesirable nutrient concentrations, such as nitrites, can be avoided.

• Maintenance and running costs are much lower than traditional gardening. For example an average hydroponic garden running cost could be as low as $1.00 per week.

• Properly grown hydroponic plants are also healthier and more vigorous because all the necessary growth elements are readily available.

• Hydroponics enables the automation of entire system with a timer. Automation reduces the actual time it takes to maintain plant growth requirements.

• Cultivating plants without soil eliminates the need for vast farmland
