I was reminiscing about days when I would go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. There would always be those old hymns playing on the radio. I just love them.
There is no possible way I could list all of my favorites, but I will list some.
Many famous artists loved these old hymns too. I will put videos of some of these great hymns being performed.
I'll Fly Away
I just love this song. You will catching me singing it in all kinds of places.
I'll Fly Away war written by Albert Edward Brumley in 1929.
My favorite rendition is this one performed by Alison Krauss and Gillian Welch.
Jesus Paid It All
Grandma loved this song. I do too. Jesus did pay it all.
It was written in 1865 by Elvina Hall.
It is performed here by Kristian Stanfill.
The Old Rugged Cross
I am moved everytime I hear this old time gospel favorite.
The Old Rugged Cross was written in 1912 by George Bennard.
Performing it here is Grandpa's favorite; Jim Nabors.

Just A Closer Walk With Thee
The writer of this old time hymn is unknown. I think whoever wrote it does walk close with Jesus.

I love those, as they were some of my favorites!!! One of mine is "Glory Glory Hallelujah" , and " This Little Light of Mine" well I guess that is two. I love the hub and the music....:)

Wonderful hymns! I am familiar with all except the first hymn. I love them all, but my favorite is that sung by Ella Fitzgerald. Thank you and God bless.

I just found you and like you I love the old hymns especially played on fiddle.
oh..... it took so long 4 me to get these hymnsi live in india and unless one attends an english church one hardly gets to hear these beautiful old hymns which has such meaning.
