Out of all the habits people want to stop smoking is probably tops of the list. Many people really do want to quit smoking but just can not seem to put them down for any length of time. It has been said that you must really have a deep desire to quit before you will be able to. All of the programs and patches will not do you any good unless you are stead fast in your mind that it is time to quit. Problem for most people is they really do want to quit but they equate to many things subconsciously with smoking a cigarette. Ask any smoker what they do as soon as they are done eating a meal and you'll most likely hear "smoke a cigarette". Driving in a car to and from work smokers will be smoking a cigarette because it passes the time during the drive. Ever seen someone get stressed out that smokes? Watch how many cigarettes they smoke. You see they smoke a cigarette after dinner because their subconscious mind tells them that that cigarette completes the meal. When a smoker is stressed their subconcious tells them they need a cigarette to calm down or relax, but medically it does just the opposite of calm you down. One of leading reasons people have heart attacks is due to stress. Many people including children suffer from stress. There are many causes for stress and what stresses people out will vary. Not having enough money to pay the bills, having trouble with your children, worrying about keeping you job or where your going to find time to do something. Everybody is made up differently and the degrees of stress will vary from person to person but what is it in our mind that drives us into this state of stress? Hi,

I know lots of people who failed again and again when they wanted to give up - until they used hypnosis. Hypnosis can really help people to stop smoking - but they still have to be committed to do it. It's not like they listen to a hypnosis induction once and afterwards they never want a cigarette again. But they'll be much better equipped mentally to overcome cravings and so on.
