I Must Confess

Selfishness is my virtue, I must confess. These are eerie times when I am told to love everyone. WHY should I? If I gave my heart to all, there would be not a piece of it left for me and those I wish to give other pieces of if FREELY.

Selfishness in my virtue, I must confess. Damn or love me for it. It is not your love or approval that makes me morally better than you. Nor is your morality the same as mine because I choose to live rather than to die in irrational self-sacrifice.. for what?

Selfishness in my virtue. There is no collective good that can order me to live a life of hell to reach the gates of some heaven which sounds like a third rate brothel. I choose my own men and with them indulge in delights which fill my life with laughter and joy.

Selfishness is my virtue. I owe it to myself. My ego is not a some toxic poison which makes me less human than those who proclaim their holiness and piety. There is no need to for self-lauding much as there is for self-loathing.

Selfishness is my virtue. Let those who desire to reach fictional state of earthly perfection strive and die in some plastic surgery clinic or in some distant tribal village . Both are not my cups of tea. I choose, instead, to feel the comfort of the cool air as I sit on this comfy chair with no causes but my own.

Selfishness is my virtue. I will have my Coca Cola, my comfort food, my Kit Kats, and I aim to be normally fat and love it. It will not change. Neither will I deprive my dogs of their food or their little beds or toys. Let even my pets wallow in my indulging them because I CHOOSE to love them. Though I am part of mankind but never part of any genocide tribunal. My Coca cola and my pets have nothing to do with starving kids all over the world.

Selfishness is my virtue. Thus, I can love YOU because I have loved and esteemed myself too. I can only give what I have. I may love YOU, and have empathy on those I choose, but not those forced upon my affections and wallet. Ask me anything and I will choose to give it to you on my own terms, not yours.

Selfishness is my virtue thus I will be selfish about living each moment with joy. Shamelessly unmindful of what you or society thinks. Society does not have a brain. Public opinion and tradition be damned. There will be no bogeymen allowed to disturb the tranquility of my days and nights.

Life is to be lived. I shamelessly choose to pursue my own happiness at no one's expense but my own. Life is too short to be burdened with the cares of this dying world which continues to burn out itself in an orgy of extreme self-sacrifice or insane greed. I do not choose either. I only choose to be me and FREE.

Great hub on looking out for your self, and never letting it come up wanting. There is nothing wrong with being selfish, by sharing your man with nobody. Plus never sharing towels

or personal items with another, unless he wants to get into your drawers...lol! There are many ways to be selfish that can be quite giving... unless it is forgiving, and that involves being less selfish with your moods. Now you've got me going, I could write a hub on this topic, but I am going to be selfish and go see a movie. LOL~~~MFB III
