I think, therefore, I am...
And I am what I am...
I am Social Conscience.
At my best, people think I am Social Justice
And I am
I am the thinking for the common good
The words and thoughts that people think will
make this world a better place
If only someone else thought them, said them, too...
At best, I am the ideas that arise to combat
war
poverty
inequality
abuses
corruption
and more...
But stuck in the minds of all
and EACH - I am powerless...
And have no positive effects.
On the flip side
I am fear
I am loathing - honing evermore distaste for the corruption
the wars
the poverty
the abuses
that I see both locally and globally.
Stuck in the minds of each angry person
I become twisted, attached to the vices, to singular, faulty reasoning.
I am Social Conscience.
And when I am not shared in a spoken, free, healthy way
I am - at best - hopeful but USELESS
At worst - I culminate into sheer frustration and am DANGEROUS.
I am Social Conscience.
I am what I am.
Free me....share me - temper me in healthy ways so that
I can have positive, active effects
Free me.....share me - temper me in healthy ways so that
I don't get out of control.
I am Social Conscience.
I am in you.
Be good to me and make me healthy.
I am what I am - but you can make me better!

On the separation of individuals
The ownership issues, materialism, distractions of this age.
These are not the foodstuffs that I require!!!
This is JUNK FOOD
Don't force me to eat this garbage anymore
I am beginning to rot and fail from all your nonsense!

I will thrive on good or bad
but there are consequences, of course
for each polarity.

Here's where the hub goes all awry.
I know it's not a blog - it's a hub - but isn't it KIND OF (like) a BLOG?

Think it should be a poem first that stands on its own, here or in a book.
But then again it is a blog. A poetry blogger. But since it is social
conscience which is politics, culture, religion mass media etc., it might
include input from a greater community in terms of concepts. You are
the writer. Is this comments box the place for that, and is that what you
might be interested in? (feed me). Do you want to write it alone, or do you
want others to help with suggestions? It can stay alive and be re-edit
any number of times. Seems like a lot of possibilities here. What do you
want to do?
knolyourself, I just wrote the beginning - the part within my member area. The comments box is not mine and belongs to everyone. Certainly, share your ideas in the comments area. I know google will classify any text on the page and do whatever - but it is ideas I am concerned with. Whether comments veer from the ideas that I wrote, what I wrote stands anyway. Some of the comments on other hubs become the bigger message, in my experience. That can be the case here, too. I don't know if I am a poet or not - I'm just expressing myself and understand that though I created this hub, mine is not the final word on any material I place here. Feed me ideas. I don't want to stay brain-dead at the mercy of media and charismatic public personalities who try to feed me garbage.
