I can guarantee I'm not the only sucker in the universe who has purchased something, just so they could get the free offer that comes along with the purchase

I can pretty much guarantee though that I am the only arsehole who bought a Serta name brand mattress just so they could get the free stuffed sheep.

I'm sure you all know the infamous talking stuffed sheep in all of those oh-so-adorable Serta mattress commercials. The sheep has big hypnotizing eyes, and it's so fluffy and cute.

I wanted the goddamn sheep. As a kid I always wanted to own that Pilsbury Dough Boy, but they never had him for sale! I knew though that this sheep was somehow obtainable, I just didn't know where to get the damn fluffy thing.

I did know though, that I needed to graduate out of my back busting futon I had been sleeping on for 4 years, and when I went out looking for a new mattress, I saw on the window of a nearby furniture warehouse 'free sheep with any Serta mattress purchase'.

Yep, I went in knowing that I'd be walking out with a new mattress, and my very own stuffed Serta sheep.

I picked a matteress by testing a few out for a few seconds, and went with the mid-ranged mattress for $499. I felt like it was a good deal; plus, I'd be getting that sheep!

I signed some papers, paid in full, and the salesman went to shake my hand and congratulate me on my new bed.

Um... baaa bahhhh bahhhh...

Bahhh...

"Where's my sheep at?"

This stupid bastard actually thought he was going to get away with not giving me my free sheep! He must of been on some heavy drugs. The sheep was why I bought the damn thing in the first place, and I was not walking out without my cute bahhh bahh baaaa sheep!

The man reached from behind his big cedar desk and pulled me out this micro stuffed sheep in a clear plastic bag.

Ah, hell no. I wanted the sheep in the window! The big giant pillow sized sheep, not this 'Honey I Shrunk The Sheep' specimen.

Unfortunately I didn't read the fine print. Size may vary.

Frig that; so I asked for an upgrade. I wanted the big one in the window!

He said it was the store display, and that they didn't come in that size. So I told him again, I wanted the big sheep, or he could keep the mattress.

So $500 later, and a bit of a tantrum, I got my big sheep.

My mattress???

Um well, my mattress sucks. I had it for over a year now; my back is always numb in the morning, and my neck is always in pain. However when you sleep on a shitty bed for so long, you sort of grow accustom to the pain.

I did though, get a really cool sheep. It's got big blue eyes, and is #44. It sits on my shelf, and is covered in dust.

Unfortunately I could of just bought the sheep on Ebay for a hell of a lot less.
