I Can Sum Up Marketing In One Word

If I was to sum up marketing in only one word, the most important one that comes to mind would be "exposure".

Believe it or not exposure is the key.

Content is king but if you don't get that content in front of as many people as possible it will surely never reach it's full potential. Let's face it, there's actually lots of people out there that do have an interest in what you have or promote. It all comes down to finding them and in reality the best way for that to happen is for them to be able to find YOU.

They will never know you exist if you don't position yourself in enough areas where they hang-out on a regular basis. It's just another reason why social networking, blogging and article publishing has become a large factor in marketing.

I'd like to discuss the proper method for marketing these days.

Marketers have to realize that in order to gain a new customer or business partner one must apply themselves in such a way as to not scare the prospects away.

This is quite simple to explain:

The idea is to post good advertising materials as much as possible, spread out over a variety of avenues online and offline. BUT the object as mentioned above is to just put the advertising close enough for people to see and recognize without smashing it in their faces.

The fact is that if they can see it and they happen to have an interest.. they will most likely let you know. You should never seem needy or come across as a beggar. Your mind-set should be all about a life of abundance. Put it out there and just act like it doesn't matter. It's that simple !

One quick analogy before I end this post:

Think of it like this.. Your advertising efforts should appear just like billboards on the side of a major highway. They are big enough to be read and if a person starts reading them and they don't like it, then they can freely move along their way without being annoyed in a major way.

It's just like a commercial on TV or radio... if they don't care for it, they can change the channel if they want or just simply ignore it. It's understood that advertising is normal and it's just a part of life. They actually expect it.

Big companies do it and receive good response and so can YOU !

Do it right and succeed.. do it wrong and you fail !

The choice is yours..

Hi Jared,

Unfortunately I would have to disagree with you on that..

The word "connecting" is a better match for the word "networking" not marketing.

"Exposure" is a much better match for "marketing" because it explains what needs to be done to achieve massive results in the open market.

By planting "seeds" everywhere, we ultimately create this exposure which leads to sales or networking with people.

Thanks for your input though :)

Together.. let's make it a great day in Network Marketing !
