NOT Starving is a Good Thing

Take it from me, or anyone who has been or is on the candida diet, it can be very frustrating.  Candida is a fungus and fungus feeds on SUGAR!!  This diet does not allow you to eat sugar, bread, fruit, vinegar and other things.  Complex carbohydrates like rice, and protein and veggies are your acceptable foods.  This is why it can be upsetting to try to eat regularly this way.  Here's a delightful recipe that is full of flavor and sticks to all the rules!!

Ingredients:

  • Two chicken breasts, fully thawed
  • 2 Tbs. Oil
  • 4 Tbs. Butter
  • Juice of half a lemon, raw
  • Two cloves of garlic, chopped small
  • As much garlic pepper as you can handle
  • Garlic or plain salt
  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • 1/4 chicken broth

Directions:

  1. In a skillet, heat 2 Tbs. Oil and 2 Tbs. Butter until the butter is melted.
  2. Add chopped garlic.
  3. Put in two chicken breasts.
  4. Pour lemon juice over the breasts.
  5. Sprinkle salt over the breasts.
  6. Cover the top of each breast with garlic pepper.
  7. Cover with a lid.  Cook until breasts are done, flipping once.
  8. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  9. Add remaining 2 Tbs. butter to the rice.
  10. Pour in the chicken broth.
  11. Add spices as preferred.
  12. Enjoy with a fresh salad!!

Easy, Delicious, and Perfectly Acceptable!!
