So, I am not a super romantic person, the thought of candlelit dinners and walks on the beach rather nauseate me. And somehow, after years of searching, I managed to find the man that is my equal in this. We pride ourselves in 'killing the moment'. It's not that we mean too, it just sort of happens. My ex used to complain all the time how I much I killed his romantic moments. Oops, my bad. Anyhow, being pregnant, I am sometimes prone to hormonal moments, and complain to my man that he never tells me how much he adores me, and how, 35 pounds later, I am still the sexiest woman he sees every day. He looks at me, and rolls his eyes in that adorable way that I usually love, and tells me that I knew how he was when we met, and he isn't going to change. Now some people, at this point in my story, are going 'What a JERK!!' I actually have a shirt that says "I love my Baby, (even though his daddy is an a**hole). But somehow, we get along.

Ladies, you have all met that perfect man, except he is a commitment phobe, or has some type of irritating behavior. Well, I am the female version of that.  In my dating and relationship past, as with most women, we meet these men, and we try to change them. And somehow, the relationship goes sour, and we don't know why...if they would have just done what we asked!! So this time, I decided to try something different. I fell in love with this ego-tistical, cocky, conceited, womanizing man...so why should I change that just because we are together now? So, he is still cocky, still has a HUGE ego, and still gets winks from women when we walk through the store, but, I still think he is incredibly sexy...and we rarely fight. What is there to fight about? Nothing, because we accept each other 100%, and have generated an incredible relationship from that.

So, this weekend, as he took me to the mall to to buy some bigger pants, he disappeared, and returned with the cutest little jersey for our baby!! I am a HUGE Colts fan, and he is a HUGE Cowboys fan...and he bought the Colts jersey. It was the sweetest gesture. He told me later, that he knows he has messed up in his life, and he really wants our relationship to work, and he wants to be a good dad. When I got all starry eyed, he told me to knock it off, and not read to much into it. And pretty much went back to being himself. But for that brief glimpse, in my hormone ridden brain, I realized that even though it will always irritate me how women ogle him, and how he is to sexy for his own good, he loves me. He will always come home to me. So, with the simple purchase of a baby onesie, he told me in a way that no diamond ring could ever tell me, that he is in this for the long haul, and has changed, not because I wanted or nagged him into, but because he loves me and our baby to be!
