I'm sitting here, Trying to find the right words, to write.

But, between being too tired, and over-thinking tonight;

The words just aren't flowing, as much as I'd like.

I've tried to find the perfect line just for you; Try as I might.

But none of the words I want to use, just seem right.

All I wanted to do is write the perfect poem

For some reason, I have know idea where this is goin'.

I wish I could write about love taking flight.

Or, about lovers in the passion of the fire light.

Maybe something about the haunting dance of candle-light?

For some reason, the words escape me and the rhythm's just not right.

Maybe I could write about walking on the beach at night?

I'm not sure, how to find, what I'm trying to express.

Or, how to unjumble my thoughts in this poetic mess.

I wish I could write about the moon, love, or passion; I must confess.

Sometimes finding that perfect word is pretty hard, I guess.

I didn't want to give you a blank page of nothing,

I just wish I could write you something.

Something clever that would make you smile, with a sigh.

Or, maybe something that causes a tear from your eye?

Or, maybe I could write something a little naughty, to make you blush?

But, for some reason my mind is all a rush.

I just wanted to find away to profess how I feel about you.

But, I guess this really bad poem is just going to have to do.

I guess, I can try to write something tomorrow night.

Maybe by then I'll be able to get the words just right.
