I am dreaming poetry again, my love
61I am dreaming poetry again, my love
the first night it happened
I dreamt three poems in a row
love poems perhaps
but they fell away forlornly
while I slowly woke
I drifted into the dawn delicately
on the first line of the third poem
"I am a shadow in the garden of David."
the very next night I dreamed again
found myself on that morning
floating above the poetry line
dreaming that you were loving me
bestirred in blissful innocence
like Eden just before the Fall.

This piece is called Daybreak by Maxfield Parrish. I'd include the link but it penalizes my hub, sorry Mr. Parrish.

diaphanous... floaty poem... like chasing the scent of jasmine on the wind...
(were you really a business major?)
cory, thank you.
I admit I really loved the way this poem came out too. I wasn't going to put it up because it's part of a past thing, you know... all the stuff I pulled, tag end of that. but I really really like it. I dreamed this poem, parts of it, over two nights.
ya, I have a BBA programming slant and about half an MBA (management focus) and just quit in the middle of a semester with a running 4.0 because I suddenly didn't want to anymore. oh well.
There is a lovely, sweet euphoria in this poem. What a heavenly way to drift.
Smiles and Light
nice dream...good job :-)
Thank you.
Ahhh... That felt so good.
Heya, V. I missed you! I look forward to catching up on your Hubs. :)
I missed you. I missed you. I missed you.
I love Maxfield too.
You know I missed you; I did catch the poem. It made me cry. Sorry I got all elusive.
Yes, I love this painting and this artist. I am always very happy to link out to the artists I favor, but Hubs is not always so happy for me to do so.
I love your poem, it's simple, deep in thought, and personal...I love poems like that!!
eodchick, thank you so much for stopping in to comment :)

I love art. I'm not educated in that field, but I know enough to know what I like. In some other life, I'd get my degree in art instead of business, eh. Business - what a crap choice of study for a quasi-socilaist. lolz.
If I had known I was going to underutilize my degree major at the time, I would have chosen art, history, art history, or economics. :p
or maybe criminal justice :hmm:
