I got a stronghold on me
Have you ever felt like you had a stronghold on you? Something that you just can't get off your back? Something that grips you day after day?
Strongholds take the form of many things, all caused to self destruct. They can be anger, guilt, unforgiveness, fear, depression, debt, sickness, addiction or just life without meaning. In other words, Strongholds that keep us from being happy/content in life. They consume and eventually destroy.
Satan is the master of deception. He uses these strongholds to decieve us, to keep us from the truth. God says "Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free"John 8:32. That we can be free from deception/strongholds. Jesus said: Everything is possible for him who believes" Mark 9:23. This is Gods promise!
Jesus desires your freedom. Whatever is destroying your life is not the will of God. "What is impossible with men is possible with God" Luke 18:27 and "For nothing is impossible with God" Luke 1:37.
We need to step out in Faith and trust in God! "Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5 and "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the lord is kept safe" Proverbs 29:25.
God is more powerful than any stronghold that Satan has on us. Replace the bad strongholds with a good stronghold in jesus Christ. Let him be your stronghold!!! He will pull you out of the pit that Satan has put you in and give you freedom from ALL bondage. Amen!!!

Thank you nobody for sharing your fear. It sounds like fear can humble us. Being humble is a gift from God edifing that we are not perfect and i understand imperfection. I live with it everyday. All things work together for the Glory of God. I am your friend and you never have to be perfect with me.....I truly love you brother. Be gentle and be kind to yourself and know that you are loved!

we know that satan lives; therefore strongholds are built; but we must also remmeber that Our God reigns and that our weapons are not carnal, but are migthy in god for tearing down strongholds!

You are very right when you said "Satan is the mastor of deception" however God is the great counselor all he ask us to da is hummbly ask him to remove all of the devils evil deceptive ways and he will not will he remove them he will heal us and rebuild us for his name sake!

Yes mdawson17, God will heal us and pull us out of the grips of bondage and we will be set free! Amen! It is not God's will that we be in bondage.

To be free from demonic strongholds. May Christ empower us to conquer in his name. In the end, Romans 8:38-39 reminds us that nothing can separate us, inclusive of strongholds, from the love of God. Great hub!

7 The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him.
A stronghold is a fortress and Christ is and should be that to us. Anything else will prevent us from that relationship with Him and must be broken.

Hello my sister, I have a constant stronghold in me that I battle every day. It is the element of fear. Perfect love casts out fear. Fear is sin and I fall prey to it over and over again. I confess and turn the fears over to the Lord. Then in my weakness face the fears one by one. Each day the same. I fear fighting and confrontation but the Lord allows fighting and confrontation so I have to face it head on in His strength. I fear not pleasing my wife. I fear hurting her in some way. I fear that I may sin against those others that I love. My sisters and brothers, perhaps you. I know that Satan wants to paralize me with fear. I know that it is impossible to be strong and fear. So I confess it each time and pray and turn to face it headon in the power of the Lord. I am given one victory after the next like Israel of old but I still panic and catch my breath. I breathe heavy and have to purposely calm myself and give the fear to my God who is faithful. Strongholds are not fun but the Lord wants to give us the victory over it. Pray for me so that I always run to Him who is able to deliver me from all my fears.
