61PDF Converting software is the only way to go
I had similar problem with editing PDF I purchase a low cost converting software designed just for editing PDF's . Your bigest problem is geting one which will read your font and has your font available. If you cannot find a Converting software which will read your font or use your font then you may have to get the document recreated in a word processing software and convert it into a PDF this I know will work. Most software companies have a support division just to help people with FAQ like this and in a matter of minutes can give you details on how-to advice. If they cannot locate the font they will let you know also. So prior to purchase you can read the software box and get contact information and call them prior to investing your money. One warning Most will say easly to use or user friendly but this is written by a programmer technical writer not the average joe. So, their may be some learning curves out there! Just take your time! you will learn.

Hi! Aya, I understand what you are saying like I said, I had to do this very same type thing to my PDF. The Converter Software allow you to edit the pdf without changing the layout. when you bring it in to the converter you can edit it with tool to edit Txt, or edit Image or what ever? and just a word of caution remember to save the old one incase your editing go wrong you have a save base from which to copy and edit, I like to change the file name slightly to reflect the changes for example it the pdf is called house.pdf you name it house1.pdf and your second edit will be house2.pdf ect... that way you can keep track of you progress.
Okay. I see now. Thanks!

LaisserAller,
Thanks for the quick response.
I don't have trouble converting to MSWord from pdf. I have the Adobe software to do that -- the complete package. I even have the original word document from which I converted to pdf. But here's why I converted to pdf in the first place: MSWord is completely unreliable as a way to produce the same document that looks identical on every computer. Using pdf, it doesn't matter what fonts the particular user has on his computer. The pdf document always looks the same.
I worked very hard in 2003 creating a document. It is now 2008. I have a different computer and all the Microsoft software is completely different, but the pdf document still looks the same.
I just want to make minor changes in the pdf document. I want to change the name of a chapter and sections, and a few words here and there, without having to key in all the words again and without having to re-draw all the diagrams.
Any advice?
