The US military is asking for more troops in Afghanistan after a series of their bases were overran by the taliban. Will afghanistan become another vietnam? I think obama should focus on sending more troops there, this is one battle that cannot be lost. Pakistan(a nuclear armed country) is fighting the taliban from their front, If US pulls out, it may be more difficult for pakistan to counter the taliban. Destabalization of pakistan could give taliban nuclear technology..I dont know..maybe I am stressing too much..lol..what do u people think?

I think it is time for the US to carry out a large scale invasion of Afghanistan just like what the Srilankan military did recently against the terrorist tamil tigers network. The whole tiger group which occupied 1/3 of Srilanka was wiped out after 30 years of its existance. The time for negotiation is over. Pakistan negotiated with the taliban in the swat valley by giving them that land. In return, the taliban moved on to the Burner district, just 60 miles from Islamabad(the pakistan capital). A full scale military war has now been waged against the taliban in Pakistan. I hope Obama does the same. If the US keeps on going like this, they would face a vietnam-like situtation, and would have to pull out in the end with nothing accomplished. Now is the time to destroy the taliban. With pakistan fighting from their front, if the US launches a full scale assault form their side, the taliban would be finished, they would have no where to run. NOW IS THE TIME.
