Hello, my name is Jeff Rogers and I wanted to share how I went from 240lbs down to 200lbs in 1997. For example, all I did was stop eating meat and potatos, so I went total vegetarian for four months. SO, the vegetarian diet I lost my big fat round belly. The problem with what I did in 1997 is one day I said I can not stand it and I ate meat and in 24 hours I was 240lbs again. since then I have had lipto suction once in 2000 and it worked, but I have since went up to 308 lbs and I am morbidly obese and Type 2 diabetic with triple stage hypertension. I now take three med for it, so Metformin, lisinopril/HCTz,, Clonidine. The point be which, I have been enabled to recover and change thanks to my meds and I am going to share my story with you.
I decided to change in 2005 again,so my waist line was 56 inches back then Besides, I am six feet tall. My doctor told this, he said, Jeff sit down. Then he said, I want to tell you your poor old heart and cardiovascular system has died and to mention you are type 2 diabetic. Your brain do not recognize it ,but you are clinicly dead. Some day you are going to fall down and that will be it you are dead. Ok, I decided to change for if I do not I am going to die. I have to change or at least die trieing. I am going to give the disease hell. I am not going to give in to the disease. Since then I have decreased the amount of meat I eat ( I do not want to go totally vegaterian again.) I do not want to relaps like I did in 1997. Trieing to make permanant long term lifestyle changes. Ok, my waist line is now 44 inches and my weight is still heavy about 280 lbs. I lift weights and replace meals with water and whey protien. Today tuna is my favorite meat also I eat sardines, salmon, besides fish is excellent brain food. Somtimes I eat chicken or turkey. I eat less solid food and drink whey protien and water and lift weights. Today I want to reduce the amount of meat I eat even more and eat more vegatables and fruit. So, in an effort to get skinny or thin. But I want to stay super muscular and healthy. I went to the book store and purchased several books on weight lifting, health and fitness as well as diet.
I am mid way in my change and looking better, but I have an long way to go. Do not believe more pain more gain. It is best to moderate exercise so you can work. I use aspirin, Ibuprofen and diphenhydramine hydrocloride for pain. Besides, the Clonidine is excellent for bed time rest and muscle recovery. I hope to be off the medications soon and I hope to lose 30 or 40 lbs. I can post some pictures later and keep everyone posted on the progress. Progress is slow for my job interfears with excercise but There is progress. Hot off the desk: I have passed my annual physical exam, so I am certified fit untill 11/2010.
