With the summer holiday period upon us and the vacation booked up, many start to think about how to improve their bodies for hitting the beaches and water parks, others simply want to make improvements to their general appearance and health issues.

I would firstly highly recommend a consultation with a medical expert before embarking on an exercise routine, especially if you have been away from exertions for a while.

The latest new fad diets that make the headlines world wide should be avoided like the plague. If possible, you should try to eat a well balanced diet and try to avoid sweet candy snacks between meals. If you have a sweet tooth (really like the candy, cookies, cream cakes, etc.) .Then check up on the calory content from slimming magazines available from most supermarkets and small stores. and choose the ones with the less amount of calories (Kcal) and saturated fats. Same with pastries, for every 4 parts of flour, puff pastry contains 3 parts of fat. Your new meal program should be written down for easy of content tracking and main meals for one week should be white fish twice, white meat such as chicken breast twice, oily fish once, pasta once and whater you want or are in the habit of enjoying once. Replace sweet snacks with fresh fruit whenever possible up to five portions each day.

Making small changes to eating habits can get results within three or four weeks, when you combine this with adding an exercise routing starting with a half hour session three times each week you will notice the difference even faster. Take slightly smaller amounts when loading your plate, ceriel and grilled replacing fried for breakfast.

Bottled water replacing high energy or full calory soft drinks. Diet or light soda if you must, but it all adds up to reducing high calory intake and burning up the calories through exercise. If you have not done anything exercise wize for a few years, start by walking more and a bit faster that you are comfortable with. Do not starve yourself and dive into exercise 7 times each week your body will not cope with drastic changes only a small bit at a time.

An easy exercise plan would be to plan your activities so that you exert a little effort. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking 3 blocks to the restaurant, walking towards the office instead of taking a cab (not recommended if your office is far. Sweat and formals dont mix and match), taking the CR on the floor above you, etc.

Stick to these tips and you'll be fit in no time
