Hot red Sauce

The key to hot an spicy are the peppers. Use Mexican or Southwestern grown dried red peppers, grind them in the processor or hand grind using a pestle and bowl. Once you have a few Tablespoons ground use it in the following recipe. If you can't get the chili peppers, use Hot Mexican chili powder found in grocery stores.

Two cups water (in pourable measuring cup)

4 TBLS chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt and pepper

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp cayenne pepper

Mix spices in the 2 cups water, set aside.

2 TBLS flour

2 TBLS Butter or olive oil

In sauce pan over med heat, melt or heat up butter/oil. Sprinkle flour and mix well, allow to cook till bubbly, 1 min.

Slowly add water-spice mix until combined. Sauce should thicken nicely.

Use as a red sauce over burritos, enchiladas, tacos. Enjoy!

You know, I never liked chlli recipes. But after I found out that chili has got some good health benefits, I changed my mind. According to this article : http://www.pichi-pichi.org/health/chili-peppers-a- chili has the power to boose immune system through the capsaicin mineral.

So keep on eating them.
