You have been a car accident and you have been injured.  The first time you meet with ICBC they will low-ball you by offering you $2,500.  No matter how bad you are injured this is the amount they offer everybody.  Do NOt take it, and do not take the second or third offers either.  The longer you wait, the more money you will get.  ICBC will cover your therapy, your loss wages, and some pain and suffering.  The more documentation you get the better.  If you go get a MRI they will give you more cash. 

If you decide to get a lawyer then expect them to take half of your claim.  A lawyer is hardly worth it, but it is a personal decision.  If you just are sick to death of dealing with ICBC then a lawyer will deal with it, but it is going to cost you in the end.
