I Know Now
75
Questioning~
Wondering~
Wonder of faith? ~
Wonder of enough faith? ~
How do I know?
Sunny sultry drive~
A winding bending road.
Swerving intentional stop~
At the opened half moon off the path~
A scooped out safe niche~
And that was that.
All piled out~
I usual last to unload.
Over seeing~
A top a steep downward~
Beach dusted drifting hill.
Further an ocean swayed~
Out-stretched as a rolling blue pearl.
Ahead they rambled~
Hastily scattering~
Quickly to out skirts~
Of a soggy tanned shore.
I looked to see~
Their bodies~
Already bobbing~
As round bobbins~
So relaxed and cheery.
They a-top deceptiveness~
With an unannounced~
Questionable danger~
In the turquoise sea.
Oh~
I yearned to be~
Where they be!
To be joined~
In their~
Gleeful camaraderie!
Waves! ~
Large! ~
Warning! ~
Most certainly could~
Over take!
Hesitant~
Yet hopeful~
Looking for a~
Safe entrance to~
Enter my place.
If only there was~
A break~
I too could be~
In their surrounded~
Calm wake reverie.
Alas! ~
A threat less way~
One foot~
Than another foot~
Forward!
Down! ~
Downer~
Down Deeper~
I sink~
I sunk!
Oh! ~
Whoosh~
Whooshing~
Whooshier~
I descend!
My body turns~
Whirls~
Whooossshh~
Whooo~
Waa~
Wa~
About the Silence.
Twirling~
Rolling~
Head up~
Nor down!
Confusion~
Guessing~
Where? ~
What?
The Logic does not panic~
Reason holds arms up~
In positive-ness~
To be up~
To surface~
To flag for help!
This could not be the end? ~
Surely someone will see~
And rescue me!
Whooosh~
Ahhhh~
The top!
Watery shells crest!
Arms flying high above!
Head second~
A gulp of air? ~
Or a swig of wet?
WWWOOOSSH~
Dived~
Swallowed fast again!
Devoured~
The body consumed~
With the mean angry~
Force furious-err than before~
There was nothing I could do~
To defend!
Cadaver revolves~
Rolled~
Inside out~
Or~
Outside In!
Reeling! ~
Whoooshhhing~
Hearing near~
Hushing.
Only the sea~
Me~
Whirled beneath~
And out~
Ousted~
Bottomless~
Farther~
Deeper down kept!
This is the end? ~
The end of me?
Me?
How could that be?
Now only me~
And the whooshing quieter marine.
Yet! ~
Split seconds~
Of reckoning~
With death~
And me!
Be still there is a presence~
A company I know~
There~
There beside me.
I am not alone.
Panic!
This is it!
Too late!
This is it!
Seconds~
The logic mind now says~
“If this is my death Lord~
Do not leave me alone!”
“Lord do not I beg You~
Leave me here alone!”
“Please Lord make sure~
You take me with You!”
Terror! ~
“I want to be ~
With You Lord!”
“Please do not leave me here!”
Whooosh! ~
Whhoooosssshhh~
Whhhiiirrrlll~
The body now limp~
Now given in.
~SUSPENSION~
~PEACE~
“Alright Lord!”
“Your Will be done!”
Whoo-aaashhh~
Who-ash~
SPIT OUT!
SHOVED!
PUSHED!
Crashed to the lava rock! ~
Scraped! ~
Scratched! ~
Banged! ~
Smashed!
Struggling~
Cold horrid hardness~
Grasping~
Climbing swift! ~
Even faster past~
The wet coffee shore~
Smooth!
Up I scramble! ~
Up I fight! ~
Up I thrash!
To finally reach~
The high hilled~
Hot beach sand!
Gasping for air~
Coughing liquid from~
Everywhere!
Expelling~
Wheezing~
Desperately greeding~
For breaths calm.
Resting~
Now those tubby boppers~
Without a care~
Sunbathe~
Ignorant~
Totally unaware.
First shock~
Than anger~
As fear still~
A system stunned.
Relief~
Peace~
Astonishment of a miracle~
Conformation of Knowledge~
A faith affirmation~
Amazing~
Life altering~
Epiphany!
Enlightenment~
I question now not.
I wonder now not.
I know now~
Faith is sound and for sure~
My faith is enough~
I now know the~
Will of the Lord!

Thank You Pete!
Very wonderful thank you
And Thank You jesusmyjoy! The best thing is that it is really true!
This is fantastic! It's a true story? Wow. Great word choice. I could almost feel your joy and then panic as I was reading it.
Yes it is very true=)Thank You very much Dear JGelineau for your kind words~ and just today I published the second largest miracle happening in my life.
I have to stop wondering about things so GOD doesn't have to prove it to me the hard way. LOL
The Lord just knows I am stubborn.
The 2nd one I just published today and hopefully the last one with such close death calls is called "Does Jesus Really Come?" Also very true with so much more I dare not even attempt to tell.
Thank You Again,
Lisa
Lisa, do you know what I love about poetry? When poetry is truly written with expression from the soul— for a moment you can look through the eyes and feel the imagery portrayed by the author. That is true poetry; most people mash up a couple of rhythms together and label it 'poetry', but they are far from it— true poetry is when you engage yourself to the subconscious and allow your mind, your heart, your soul to speak for you— these are what your poems are; words said deep within your mind that gives me a familiarization with you. From what your poetry set in motion, it is truly a beautiful thing to see. I want to personally thank you for inviting me to have the pleasure of reading this. I hope my words will help you spread your influence and message— you truly are an artist; and as always— God bless.
Wow!
Arthur Gulumian you made me tingle!
I never have articulated what you just said to how poetry is to me.
You said it so well like it was singing my spirit!
I think I need you to write my resume. lol
My dad is a very good rhyming poet (The Bard of Ratlum 2 books in print) (I am thinking of starting a hub up for him because he is 80 yrs old had a stroke but I bet would get a tickle out of it), and I never could, or more so was not as interested in that form.
I just finished a poem I will share with you here before I give its own Hub.
I was again inspired!
But First I want to thank you for being so very kind with your words.
You and many others can not imagine (or maybe you can) how wonderful it feels to be acknowledge since writing from age twelve, and sorta being thought of as odd in the shadow of such a wonderful ryhmer as my father.
To finally be acknowledged as a true expressive artist of words (I am a fine & illustrative artist also) simply warms my soul.
I thank you and all for the very gracious attention.
Here is the poem I just finished just before your comment (in its ruff form)
Thank you again Fine Sir ~ You certainly are a very highly impressive young man!
In addition I hope to glide over to savor some of your writings very soon.
Cheering My Soul
Like a buttercup~
You are waiting~
All yellow, soft~
With peddles smooth~
And round.
Like a sunflower~
Opened wide~
You blossom love~
Your smile shines~
Seeds ready to be sewn.
Like a chickadee~
Your words echo to me~
Melodies in your song.
Warming the cavernous~
Of many winters~
In my heart~
For our lives~
To be as one.
Like the maple tree~
You are formed~
Sturdy, stalwart~
And strong~
Preparing ourselves~
For any storm~
As we courageously~
Move on!
Like the Robins~
First appearance Dear~
Your presence renews~
My expectant spring.
Like the wind my Darling~
You are welcomed~
Fresh and sweet.
Like the rain bowed sun~
Lending hope~
And gladness~
Cheering my soul~
To again have outward fun.
wonderful lisa

Thank You jacobkuttyta

Thank You yeah yeah!
People believe we are never alone!
Many elements of verse meaning mixed in a blended sound and tempo that creates a vivid image of the sequence of events, the feeling of the moment and the gambit of emotions that horrendous experience provided... Fine job of poetic artistry; and the compilation of pictures is a nice touch in providing visual ques... Great job...
Oh Thank You so much~~I am sooo tired right now I am seeing double __what a nice compliment to end my day on...Blessings my friend=)
