IM Success Library - Knowlege Is The Key To Success

The IM Success Library is soon to be your number one resource for Internet marketing training. Bob "The Teacher" Jenkins has out done himself again. With over 30 Butterfly Marketing driven sites under his belt, he has taken all the feedback from his customers and created the ultimate Internet marketing training site.

Since the economy has taken a down turn, more and more people are looking for alternative methods to generate income. Starting an online business has some very attractive benefits such as low start up costs, setting your own hours, and working from home.

Despite what a lot of the "get rich quick" programs say. An online business is still "a business" and must be treated that way. You still need to put in the hard work and effort, especially when you are just starting out.

The great thing about working online is that a lot of the systems can be automated and once put in place and set into motion, will require very little work on your part. Once you have a successful business plan in place, it is easily scaled up by outsourcing the work.

The biggest hurdle that newbies face is "information overload". The hard part is determining which information is worth learning and which isn't. Bob Jenkins, a former high school teacher, uses his teaching skills to present the material in a easily digestible and systematic format complete with action steps so that you can learn as you go.

I just recently went through his course "Discover Butterfly Marketing" that was a series of live webinars about how to set up and implement a web site using Mike Filsaime's Butterfly Marketing script. The course was absolutely incredible. Everything was organized in a way that you set up your site as you went and when the course was finished, you had a site ready to take orders. If your interested, click on the link above to visit the Hub I wrote about it.

I have been a member of Bob's "Squidoo Secrets" since it came out a couple years ago. Also, top notch information. Bob puts everything on video so it is easy to follow along. You get action assignments and home work as well. They don't call him "the teacher" for nothing.

Anyhow, I am getting off track. Bob has identified 5 areas that you must master to build a successful business online. Keep reading to find out more about what he calls the 5 pillars of business growth and what will be inside the IM Success Library.

IM Success Library - The 5 Pillars of Internet Marketing

There are 5 specific areas that Bob has identified as essential for business growth. It is not enough to only master 1 or 2. You must learn them all if you are truly going to make a lot of money with your online business.

The 5 Pillars of Internet Marketing are:

  • Lead Generation & Traffic
  • Product Creation
  • Technology & Sales Systems
  • Strategic Planning
  • Communication

Now these are the pillars or foundation of the building. Each one is held together by smaller bricks and mortar that make up the complete big picture. You can not ignore the little details or the structure will collapse around you.

Keep on reading to see how Bob has structured the lessons in the library to make you the master of all 5 pillars.

Lead Generation and Traffic

It's not surprising that the first pillar is about generating leads and traffic. These are the life blood of any online business. It's all about getting visitors to your website and turning them into subscribers and customers. This is one of the areas where automation becomes very important.

Your potential customer needs to be able to request information and then get what he asks for without requiring you to lift a finger. You will also have to incorporate attraction marketing and other traffic generation techniques to bring those visitors to your site.

The areas of Internet marketing that you will need to master are:

  • Opt-in Forms
  • Squeeze Pages
  • Auto Responders
  • Web Traffic
  • Social Media like Twitter and Facebook
  • Credibility
  • Value Exchanges
  • Joint Ventures
  • and more...

If you do this right, then you can say goodbye to hours on the phone calling prospects. No more chasing after leads. They will come to you.

Product Creation

This is one of those topics that stops newbies in there tracks. I tried my hand at Internet marketing for almost 4 years before I ever created a product of my own. It took my coach and mentor, Alex Jeffreys, to motivate me to finally write an ebook.

The funny thing is that considering all of the Hub pages, Squidoo lenses, articles, and blog posts, that I have made over those 4 years. I could have created my own library of ebooks. In Bob's own words "Product creation is the ability to make something that solves people's problems profitably."

The people that really make it big in Internet marketing are selling their own products and services not just promoting other peoples stuff. The great thing about creating your own products is that you can always leverage your previous products to use as bonuses and content.

Some products you can create are:

  • ebooks
  • special report
  • webinars
  • videos
  • teleseminars
  • and books

Bob will show you the steps you need to take to create your own products. It is a lot easier than what you might think with today's technology. You will learn how to create your own product in a couple of hours instead of wasting weeks and having little or nothing to show for your effort.

Technology & Sales Systems

This is where you are going to leverage your efforts into a virtual marketing machine. You need to set up the nuts and bolts of your online business. Things like your website, affiliate program, and the ability to process orders and deliver your products and services online.

A lot of people will look to outsource these tasks because of the technical nature and that is OK. If you are starting out on little or no budget then you are going to have to learn how to do some of this stuff on your own.

You will need to know how these pieces fit together:

  • Registering and hosting your website
  • Website management with cPanel
  • Taking credit card orders online
  • Delivering your products automatically
  • Affiliate reporting software
  • Digital product publishing

I know that these things can be a bit intimidating, but you don't have to learn everything at once. Bob will show you which ones you need to learn first and teach you the rest as you go, before you will need them.

Strategic Planning

I think that this is one of the most important aspects of your business. "Fail to plan and you plan to fail" comes to mind. When I went through Alex Jeffreys coaching program, the first module was about planning and goal setting.

Having a plan also helps to keep you productive. It is so easy to get side tracked by the latest and greatest product launch, emails, chat, telephones, the list goes on forever! By setting goals on a yearly, monthly, and daily level, I saw a dramatic increase in my productivity.

Effective strategic planning will let you:

  • Increase you productivity by at least 32%
  • Save more of your money by avoiding shiny object syndrome
  • Gain confidence with the right mindset
  • Get the help you need from people who can more clearly understand what you're working on
  • Complete unfinished projects so they actually earn you money!

When you map out where you want to go and how you are going to get there, it is impossible to fail! It may take you a little longer than you initially intended but if you stick to the plan you will get the project finished and get it done the way you wanted it.

I highly recommend using some sort of mind mapping software. I use Free Mind. It's simple to use and it's free.

Communication

OK how obvious is this? You can drive thousands of visitors to your websites and get hundreds of thousands of subscribers to your opt in list, but if you cannot effectively communicate with them you will not make a penny.

I am not just talking about good sales copy. I am talking about how you recommend products, how you respond to your customers when they ask for help. Are you on the same "wave length" with them? Do you know your target market?

If you cannot convey your message to them using vernacular terms pertaining to their niche, then you will never nurture the credibility necessary for them to trust you enough to buy from you.

The areas of communication that you want to concentrate on are:

  • Copywriting
  • Your email messages
  • Video content
  • Customer support
  • Your social media profiles
  • Advertising messages
  • Creating information products that get results for your customers

We all know how critical communication skills are to any kind of a business that involves sales so I don't think that I need to extrapolate any more on this one.
