GONXHA BOJAXHIU,the future Mother Teresa of Calcutta ,was born in Skopje on 26th August 1910.At the age of 18 ,she traveled to Ireland to join the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (commonly known as Loreto sisters)After few weeks in Ireland sister Teresa -was sent to India where she made her first profession of vows in the year 1931 and final profession in 1937 .She spent 18 years at Loreto School in Calcutta first as a teacher then latter as a principal .

On 10th September 1946 during a train ride to Darjeeling from Calcutta she received an inspiration which she describes as a "CALL WITHIN CALL" Jesus' thirst for love and soul became very clear to her .From that day a longing to satiate sprouted .to her Jesus revealed the desire of his heart .he pleaded her "My little one come come my carry Me into the holes of the poor .Come be my light ,I cannot go alone .They don't know Me .You come ,go amongst them .Carry Me with you into them .How i long to enter their holes .their dark .unhappy homes ".

Jesus asked Mother TRESA to start the "MISSIONARIES OF CHARITY " DEDICATED TO THE POOREST OF THE POOR.

On 5TH SEPTEMBER 1997 Mother Teresa's journey to serve the poorest of the poor came to an end .On 19TH OCTOBER 2003 Mother was referred as "one of the greatest missionaries of 20th Century 'With her words of action Mother touched the heart of believers and nonbelievers alike ,Crossing the barriers of class, religion culture and nationality .Her life became a sign that "God still loves the world today"

I'm one of the blessed one who worked with MOTHERTERISA when she was laying the foundation stone of Student Health Home  in Calcutta .Her godly beauty ,full of love for everyone will never be erased of my mind and soul ,she was, she is ,and she will be with us for ever .
