There are many definitions of internet marketing. In many respects, internet marketing is simply another way of saying online marketing, online business, or work-at-home internet business. The core idea is that you are using a computer and an internet connection to generate money. The main idea behind the internet marketing is that this it is done online. It is an individual and collective effort to advertise and sell his own product or the product of companies and in return generate money for himself. In this way most of the works is done via websites or blogs in the comforts of the home. So we can call it home business.

We can be successful online and achieve the targets of home business marketing if we are successful in public relations, wide vision of market research along with strategy and analysis, positioning, branding, distribution.

However it is pertinent to mention here that as far as my experience is concerned most the websites are paying small portion of your efforts and energy you are spending to advertise their products. So I therefore recommend to be careful. .

The activity that an organization undertakes to determine the nature of its customer, demand of product and the preference of the customers. Companies undertakes survey to test the reaction of the customers regarding the product being offered.

A great example of effective branding is the Nike "swoosh" logo because it's instantly recognizable around the world.

DISTRIBUTION

The methods used to get your product or service to its customers. For example, you may need to decide if you will sell your products through a catalog, on the Internet, in a brick and mortar store, or a combination of these. Understanding the best methods or channels for how your product or service is distributed is important for maximizing your sales. Your decisions in this area will greatly impact your other marketing activities.

The conclusion of the discussion is that the different marketers use different techniques and tools to advertise their products. There is no set pattern that works for all marketers.
