IQ test is one of the common test for all types of job or MBA entrance tests. Common IQ test questions are very simple but for the lack of practice most student don't correct them all. In the Internet you may find several test question or online practice test. You may solve them. In this page, I try my best to create  a free test and arrange some practice test questions. You will find one quiz and after that you will find 15 common IQ test questions. These aptitude test is totally free and it also tests your intelligence also. Again, I am saying that IQ test just tests your intelligence. In this page, I set some common and basic aptitude test questions and answers. You will find all the answers at the end of the page. But don't see the answers firstly. Take a paper and then write down the answers and at last check them with the answers.

A farmer had 20 hens. All but 2 died. How many hens are still alive?

Each year has several months. Some months have 30 days, some months have 31 days. Then how many months have 28 days?

Divide 60 by half and deduct twenty. What do you get?

A red house is built from red bricks. A blue house is built from blue bricks. A white house is built from white bricks. Then what is a greenhouse made from?

The hour hand of an analog clock moves 1/60th of a degree every minute. Then how many degrees will the hour hand move in one hour?

You went to bed at 9 o'clock and wound up your clock and set the alarm at 10 o'clock in the morning? How many hours could you sleep before the clock alarms?

Take 2 oranges from 3 oranges and 3 apples. What do you have?

Your doctor gives you 3 pills to take one for every half hour. How long it requires to take all the pills?

Do the following three things one by one:

• Say "silk" five times.
• Now spell "silk".
• What do cows drink?

If you drove the bus with 9 people from A and stopped B to pick up 11 more people and drop 5 people and at C pick up another 5 people and drop another 10 people more and at last arrive at D 10 hours later. What's the name of the bus driver?

You have to measure exactly 4 liters of milk. But you have only 3-liter and a 5-liter bottle. How can you measure exactly 4 liters milk?

How many squares are there on a normal chessboard?

Name 3 consecutive days without using the words Friday, Sunday and Tuesday.

You had one match and entered a dark room, where there was an oil heater, an oil lamp and a candle, which would you light first?

Count from 1 to 100, how many "8" will you pass on the way?

Explanation: "All but 2" means 2. So, all but 2 died means that there are only two hens are alive and others were dead. So, the answer is 2.

All months have 28 days i.e. all the 12 months have 28 days.

Explanation: See... every month has 28 days. February has also. If it's the leap yerar, then also. So, all months has 28 days.

Explanation:

Divide 60 by half means : 60/(1/2) = 120
then deduct that by 20 means: 120-20 = 100

So, answer is 100

Explanation: Buildings are made of bricks. But a greenhouse is made of glass.

Explanation: Very simple. You may think 360 degree but it's totally wrong. Just think and you will get the answer.

1 hour

Explanation: The question has o'clock i.e. it's an analog clock. All analog clock has no ability to recognize A.M. or P.M. So, after one hour it alarms. And you have only one hour sleep.

2 oranges.

Explanation: The question is very easy but you have to think about the situation. There are 3 oranges but you take 2. So, you have only 2 oranges.

1 hour

Explanation: You can easily understand this answer by thinking the real life scenario. You had 3 pills. For example, at 8:00 you ate the first pill. At 8:30 you ate the second pill and at 9:00 you ate the third (the last) pill. So, it takes only one hour to take all the three pills.

Explanation: Cows drink water. If you say "milk" then you are incorrect and my question is why you think so?

Explanation: You are the driver. You drive the bus and go to several places.

This is the most tricky question in this page. To measure 4 liters of mild you have to follow the following steps:

1. Fill the 3 liter bottle and pour the milk in the empty 5 litter bottle.
2. Fill the 3 liter bottle and pour the milk again in the 5 litter bottle.Now, the 3 litter bottle has only 1 litter.
3. Empty the 5 liter bottle.
4. Pour the 1 liter milk (from 3 litter bottle) to the 5 liter bottle. Now, the 5 liter bottle has only 1 liter milk.
5. Pour the 3 liter bottle with 3 liter milk. And pour it to the 5 liter bottle. So, the 5 liter bottle has now 4 litter milk.

There are 204 squares in a normal chessboard.

Explanation:

(1x1) squares = 64
(2x2) squares = 36
(4x4) squares = 25
(5x5) squares = 16
(6x6) squares =   9
(7x7) squares =   4
(8x8) squares =   1
------------------------
Total               =204

So, there are 204 squares in a normal chessboard.

If your answer is 80, then wrong because you forget 80. If you answer is 11 then you forget the 80 series. If your answer is 19 then you forget that 88 has 2 8. So, the total no of 8 is 20.
