No Cure For Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin disorder which affects the face. This skin malady should not be confused with pimples or acne because it is not the same thing. While there is no cure for Rosacea, there are treatments for it that your doctor can give you. There are also things you can do yourself to keep the rosaea from flaring up. Rosacea is not a danger to your health but can cause low self esteem because of the appearance of it on your face.

There are over 14 million Americans with chronic rosacea and it affects mainly those between 30 and 60 years of age. Treatment from the doctor might consist of topical antibiotics and they may recommend certain soaps, moisturizers, and sunscreens. Try to avoid overheating. Hot flashes can cause rosacea to flare up. If this is the case you might want to get something from your doctor for menopause symptoms or use some of the natural supplements for menopause symptoms.

Some of the things you can do for yourself is to wear sunscreen at least 15 SPF or higher. Cover your face in the winter with a scarf or ski mask, do not rub or touch your face too much, avoid alcohol, avoid face products which contain alcohol, use products that are labeled noncomedogenic because they won't clog your pores as much as other products will. Apply moisturizer only after medication has dried.

Just because the condition is not life threatening doesn't mean it isn't important to the one who suffers with it. It can progress and get worse over time if it isn't treated so it is important to keep it at bay with treatment if at all possible. See your doctor for more information.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. My good friend has been attending their doctor for 8 months receiving various treatments without success for this condition.
