What is ISSSEEM?

ISSSEEM stands for "The International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine". It is a non profit organization whose mission is to promote understanding, research and applicationof the energies of consciousness. Their goal is to bridge science and spirit. Every year for the last 18 years, they have held an international conference on the subtle energy to introduce the concept of healing via influencing the subtle energies in the body.  This conference is great for practitioners that deal with body energies and those who want to find out more about this study.

ISSSEEM also promotes an exchange of ideas through conferences, publications and forums and supports practitioners through holding workshops, retreats and independent exploration groups.  Members enjoy a community with social and professional networking and collaborative activities as well.

Energy medicine and subtle energy is more difficult to wrap into a scientific paridigm that can be understood by the common person. Most of the things I have read on it involve a lot of quantum mechanics, which is the closest and most accurate science in my opinion to bridge the two sides (science and spirit side).

With the advancement in technology, there are more and more tools that can measure the body's different kinds of energies. Scientists can study the subtle energies and their relationship to human systems. Understanding and facilitating the use of subtle energies, both for therapeutic purposes and for the study of human potential, may bring to consciousness a new awareness of the depths of the human psyche. A synthesis of psychology, psychophysiology, psychophysics, physics, and medicine can be the basis of a new and innovative science of the 21st Century. ISSSEEM was created to bridge current and emerging energy-related disciplines so that this synthesis and the new paradigm emerging out of this synthesis can be encouraged.

For the last 18 years ISSSEEM has held a conference to discuss and teach the leading edge findings in the fields of energy medicine and subtle energies to healers whose practice would benefit from this continuing education. This years conference will be held in the Denver area of Colorado and includes the following speakers:
