63YAHOO BUYS FLICKR
News Flash: Yahoo buys out Flickr. Oh boy, I'm not so sure I like this idea. Here are the details: http://blog.flickr.com/flickrblog/2005/03/yahoo_actually_.html
Happy May Day! Today I looked at my counter on Flickr, and my views are 14,999. Today I'll hit the big 15,000. Now that is something that never would have happened to me before the Internet! Most of my photos would have languished away in shoe boxes.

I got a Pro Account
I missed my photos that disappeared off of Flickr when my free trial of pro access expired. But this week I decided it was well worth the $25 a year to go Pro. The minute my order went through from Pay Pal, all my old photos filled up my pages on Flickr. Woohoo.
As an artist, the more of my work that people can be exposed to on the internet, the better my publicity and sales.
Plus, I ordered MOO cards from Flickr, and everyone I give them to just loves the little suckers. At the time I ordered the first batch I only had access to 200 of my photos, not the best of my photos. Now if I reorder cards I have many many more of my photos to choose from, so how fun is that?
So I'm just grinning from ear to ear.
Also, I just made a blog on Vox.com and Vox is set up so I can easily add any photos I have on Flickr. Which means I don't have to be on my home computer to add photos now. As long as it's on Flickr, I can use any computer anywhere to add a photo. So yay!
Also, Flickr works well with the Etsy craft community. I have joined a bunch of Flickr groups that cater to Etsy artists.

Almost Famous
A few months ago I won 3 months of pro access on Flickr and put up lots of photos. My pro access expires on Oct. 31. Which means on that day most of my photos will go into an invisible mode unless I buy a Pro account. So if you are curious and want to see my whole photo stream here you go:

Unfortunately my camera died halfway through my free months. But if it hadn't I never would have found Hubpages.
