In Ice Cream Craze Takeover Tycoon the object of the game is to beat the competition. Grandma used to run a successful ice cream business, but lost all her customers to BigCo. The player's job is to build a successful chain and make Grandma proud by overthrowing the competition.

In order to make money, the player must go through serving challenges and fulfill customers' orders to their exact desires. Customers stand in line at the counter to get their ice cream. They have a cartoon bubble over their heads showing exactly what they want. The goal is to serve all of the customers before running out of energy, and before the customers run out of patience. If too many orders are missed the challenge is failed. If the challenge is successfully completed the day's money is counted and the day ends. If the player does not succeed, they lose money. Each new challenge costs money. However, there are also reward challenges that don't cost anything, but if completed correctly, a reward is given.

The graphics were cute and cartoonish. The main character is a bubbly-looking little girl who serves ice cream to clowns, children and some strange-looking adults. The sound effects and music were also cute, but not overly annoying, as in other children's games.

From appearances, this game looks to be geared towards children. If you're looking for a real challenge, Ice Cream Craze may be too easy. The game is very slow-paced and there is a lot of waiting involved. While the first few minutes of play were fun and challenging, the game did lack in mental stimulation. If you were able to build your own ice cream shops instead of simply dishing out ice cream, the game might be more enjoyable for an older audience.

Overall, the game was disappointing, but due to great graphics, creativity and unique approach to the tycoon-type games, Ice Cream Craze: Takeover Tycoon scores 4 out of 5. Great for kids, not so great for adults.
