Ideas for Decorating a Contemporary Foyer: Begin with Canvas Wall Art
84
The foyer is the first area of the home guests view upon arrival, and if for no other reason it should be an area decorated to impress. First impressions are long-lasting, and this is why it is of the utmost importance to make the foyer as grand as possible, even if it is a relatively small space. Consider the following ideas for decorating a contemporary foyer, and transform your entryway, no matter how unassuming, into a dramatic and highly impressive area of the home by adding stylish canvas wall art and other modern wall decor. Any contemporary home can include an entryway that is designed to impress.
Select a Large Work of Contemporary Wall Art for a Spacious Bare Wall
A large work of art is impressive when mounted on an expansive wall, and in a grand foyer it is even more outstanding. It will be the first thing guests notice upon entering the home, and it will be the last thing they view upon leaving. Select a large work of contemporary canvas wall art for a spacious bare wall. Chances are it can stand alone as a focal point, but it can be surrounded by smaller accent pieces that coordinate well with the main work of art.
When including accent pieces with a large work of contemporary wall art, select metal art work that coordinates with the subject and at least one color in the canvas decor. Many works of metal art have amazing colors that are either hand painted onto the metal or created using a heating technique that results in a rainbow of natural hues that change with movement and light. Select overhead contemporary track lighting to highlight metal wall art that surrounds a large canvas piece in a foyer. The colors and designs will seem to come to life while creating a dramatic display.
Contemporary Canvas Panels and a Stylish Modern Framed Mirror
Eye-catching contemporary canvas panels go well with modern framed mirrors in a foyer with an expansive bare wall. Select a set of three contemporary canvas panels and two identical framed mirrors. Mount the two mirrors on the sides of the centered work of art, and mount the two remaining panels at equal distances apart alongside the two mirrors. This arrangement will add drama and modern design to the foyer while providing an area for last-minute primping upon entering or departing the home. Likewise, a two-piece contemporary painting set can be arranged with three mirrors for another fabulous foyer arrangement that will dress up walls while making the space appear larger than ever.
Canvas with Metal Accents
When creating a dramatic foyer display, consider arranging a large canvas work of contemporary art with contemporary metal wall accents. Shop online for metal and canvas wall art, and narrow down your search by looking for contemporary designs. You will discover countless options that can be mixed and matched in a foyer of any size. Center a contemporary canvas work of wall art on a blank foyer wall, and surround it with two or more metal wall sculptures that highlight the piece. For example, select a contemporary woodland scene and select contemporary metal tree sculptures to surround the canvas art. They will compliment one another and look more impressive than ever when displayed together.
Canvas wall art can be displayed in many more stylish and dramatic ways along with other works of wall art in a foyer. The options are as endless as the vast array of available works of art. Any foyer can look rich and exceptionally impressive with the addition of canvas wall art and other works of three-dimensional art or beautiful framed mirrors. Even a small foyer can appear professionally designed, and all at a fraction of the cost of hiring a professional interior decorator.

Thank you for your comment LondonGirl. The way in which a home is decorated is a reflection of a personal style, and when someone takes pride in their home, it shows. Likewise, those who value the opinion of their family and friends naturally care regarding what others think of their home decor choices. In general, people who do not care what guests think of their home, inside and out, are not as likely to care what other think in every facet of their lives, and that also shows.

I care most about my home being welcoming for me, my other half, and our son, because we live here.
Yes, and you are right. That's why I said in general. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
