Identify Signs of Pregnancy
69Are you Pregnant?
For most women the thought of pregnancy is a highly charged emotional subject. Whether you are trying to become pregnant or the possibility of a pregnancy is a complete surprise, you naturally want to know whether you are pregnant as soon as possible. Modern medicine and technology have made is possible for women to take early pregnancy tests at home. Even with modern science; however, most home pregnancy tests will not indicate an accurate result until the first day of a missed period. While there are some tests on the market may indicate a result somewhat earlier than this time, this is not always accurate for all women.
Before the invention of home pregnancy tests most women relied on a combination of instinct and early symptoms of pregnancy. While this is not the case for all women, many women instinctively know that something is different even before they miss their first period.
A missed period is often considered to be one of the simplest and easiest ways to determine whether you are pregnant. If you normally have a very regular cycle, this can be a fairly positive sign of pregnancy. For some women; however, a missed period may not necessarily indicate pregnancy as their cycles are normally erratic. A missed period can also be associated with illness, a poor diet and stress as well. It should also be noted that it is entirely possible to be pregnant and not seem to miss your period at all. Many women continue to experience a period even after they have conceived. This generally occurs during the first month after conception; however, it can continue in some cases for several months. Therefore, if you think that you are pregnant and you have experienced other early symptoms of pregnancy but you have not missed a period it is a good idea to see your doctor.
Morning sickness is another common sign of pregnancy. This particular symptom tends to vary among women and even from one pregnancy to the next. Some women experience morning sickness very early in their pregnancies while others never experience it at all. Also, contrary to the moniker, morning sickness can occur at any time of the day.
One of the most common symptoms of pregnancy and the symptom that usually tends to show up the earliest is breast tenderness. While it is quite common for many women to experience breast tenderness during the second half of their menstrual cycle, just prior to the anticipated date of their next period, when you are pregnant your breasts may feel decidedly different. Your breasts may feel tender and enlarged while your nipples may be particularly sensitive.
Frequent urination can be an early sign of pregnancy for many women. In fact, this symptom often appears even before you miss a period. The production of hCG, a hormone that is produced during pregnancy, will cause you to have to visit the bathroom more frequently.
Many women also experience increased levels of fatigue during early pregnancy. Once again, this symptom may appear before other symptoms, including a missed period. The need to sleep more often and an overall sense of feeling 'drained' are common during early pregnancy.
The symptoms listed above include some of the most common early signs of pregnancy which many women say they have experienced during the early stages of their pregnancies. It should be noted that other medical conditions other than pregnancy could be the cause of these symptoms so it is always a good idea to confirm the symptoms with a home pregnancy test or a visit to your physician.
There are many symptoms that might make a woman first suspect that she is pregnant. If you feel that you might be experiencing these early signs of pregnancy, then you might need some extra help. Your first reaction may to be to see your doctor and that's fine as long as you're well aware of your condition, so that you can get the most out of your doctor's visit. I've spent a lot of time evaluating free resources too, but they always seem to hide the full story from you. My favorite resource is The Pregnancy Secrets. You will learn a great deal of information so you're well prepared to visit your doctor. The book contains tons of information, but here are a few things you will learn: 1) The early stages of pregnancy, 2) Common problems during early pregnancy and what to do about them, 3) Diet, weight gain and exercise, 4) Discover the signs of ovulation, and the most fertile time in your cycle, 5) The truth about the common prenatal tests, 6) The surprising truth about spotting and cramping, 7) What happens during your first doctor visit? These are only a few things you need to know about your early signs of pregnancy. Although the book does cost a little bit of money, it's well worth it. And you can't put a price tag on your peace of mind about your pregnancy.
