If Adam & Eve Never Sinned

What if...

Christians teach that Adam & Eve were not supposed to sin in the Garden of Eden, they were not supposed to eat the fruit of the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil". But they did, and therefore sin entered the world [Original Sin] and ever since then mankind has been on a downward spiral toward the bottomless pit of hellfire and doom. God is trying to save who He can, but unfortunately, the number is quite few...

Okay, time for a brain-scratcher...

Do Christians ever stop and think that maybe there’s a reason for this life of suffering? Have you ever considered that God may have actually intended for humans to live this life of battling and overcoming evil... or is it all for naught? All the things we do, what we learn, what we accomplish in life, does it all mean nothing? What's the purpose in living if the "only thing that matters is whether or not you accept Jesus as Lord before you die?" Everything else would be completely meaningless! Is God managing a purposeless world as we speak?

Why did God create the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” back in the Garden, just to test Adam, just to see if Adam would give in and eat its fruit? Did He not already know what the outcome would be?

Think about it...

When a parent doesn’t want a young child to touch something, say a knife, they put it out of reach, right? They’ll put it in a drawer, or at least high up enough so that the child cannot reach it. So, God tells Adam not to touch His Tree, but where did He put it? He put it “in the middle of the garden” [Gen 2:9], totally opposite of what one would expect! Why not put it in the back corner.. or better yet, how about not making it in the first place? Maybe there’s an important lesson here. Maybe God’s trying to tell us something, if we’d just listen to Him.

What if...

Adam and Eve never eat the forbidden fruit, then what, we all live happily, running around naked in a Giant Garden of Eden, eating fruit, and chasing tigers? Is that what God had in mind when He created humanity? Was God's purpose for humanity to live in a Garden on the Earth for all Eternity? Sounds pretty boring to me, quite frankly.

But here's an interesting thought:

What is the "goal" of the average Christian today? --> To "get saved". Why? So they "go to Heaven" when they die.

But if Adam and Eve never ate the fruit, and the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" remained untouched for ever, then we would all be stuck in the Garden of Eden.. Hence,

WE WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO "GO TO HEAVEN"!!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it... =)
