I'll Handle It
47
i take it on
i relax through the fear
and rediscover
who i am
i listen to my higher self
rather than
irrational fears
and memories
i face it and relax
gently moving through pain
knowing that on some level
i can handle it
knowing i am safe
i am even supported
i face and accept my fear
and grow stronger
i move forward
dispelling the feeling
of hopelessness
and helplessness
and allow my strength to shine
and allow grace to wash over me

Thanks Dohn.
lovely and touching, thank you for sharing your ability to reach your inner voice
Hi and thank you Elisabeth. Much appreciated.
..." and allow my strength to shine
and allow grace to wash over me..."
Allowing one's self anything relates to your prior poem about letting go...is this progression intentional..? Where are you taking us..? I eagerly await your next...Thank you for another sensitive and triumphal prose poem..Larry
Hi Larry, thanks, you really do get it. I wrote both of the poems quite a while ago, seemingly unrelated and yet the theme is certainly well connected. I've been going through some of life's challenges lately and the emotions took me back to these words. Thanks as always.
i had taken a little "vacation" Russ and am just catching up, so happy I am to have found this poem of yours. It is absolutely profound, and honest, and I love it..your style is all your own and I hope to reading for a long time these great lines you seem to put together effortlessly. Thanks for another good one.
Hi Erin, thanks again for your supportive comments. I've just come back from my vacation. I see you've written something new which I will definitely read today. I'm looking forward to it. Russ x
