Illinois Launches Investigation Into YTB Only Days After California Lawsuit

The Illinois Attorney General's Office launched their investigation into YTB International on August 8, only 4 days after top lawman in California filed a $25 million lawsuit against YTB calling the business "a gigantic pyramid scheme."
An Illinois investigation has been "open" for a while due to recent complaints filed to the The Better Business Bureau from people trying to get a refund of their $449 joining fee who felt deceived by YTB and their potential earnings.
Natalie Bauer, a spokeswoman for Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan made the following statement concerning the issue. "We are in the process of contacting the California attorney general's office about their findings."
People are now starting to question all mlm businesses, mainly the Online Travel Business, due to the present focus on YTB. But all online travel companies do not operate in the same way.
As a Traverus Travel Agent our focus is on booking travel, first. The network division launched only18 months ago by CEO and President David Manning. TraVerus is a 28 year old brick and mortar travel company, which spent years creating the perfect compensation plan designed for the average person to have success.
The "average person" in a network marketing company only signs up 2.5 people...The TraVerus Compensation Plan has been devoped in a way that even this group of people can become successful.
When a company like YTB has been around for a few years, and only 1% of their members are making $50,000 to $300,000 a month...and 80% make less than $39 for the entire year (2007), a few red flags are bound to be raised over the compensation plan.
I may be accused of "kicking a company when they're down", but my focus is only on keeping the negativity away from the TraVerus name. A company you can be proud to be a part of.
