" You are broken, and you have never been more whole"

For a while now this has been something God has been working inside of me. If we think we are complete then God can do no work in us. You can only fix something that is broken. Until we allow ourselves to be broken to Christ, God can not restore us, because in effect we do not realize we need to be fixed. But once we are broken it is then that God begins to transform and renew us. It is here that our hardened hearts begin to open up to Him, and just because your saved doesn't mean that we don't put up walls of pride, walls of self-sufficient, although we may be christians and we may have had our hearts soften to Jesus, that doesn't mean we don't as Christians put up walls up in front of that heart. In order to tear those hearts down we must be broken. To be broken is to live the life that David lived, even when he was suppose to be king, he allowed saul to persecute him knowing that God would make him king in God's time. When Absalom his son took the throne he didn't fight it, but he trusted in God. As Christ followers chasing after God we have to realize that we are only going to reach what God has called us to reach if we are willing to do it His way. Its Yahweh or its going to be the long way. To heed the call in hebrews and to allow God to break our hearts for what breaks His. The question is are we really broken? Does our heart cry out to this who are lost? Do we even have relationships with those who are not Christians? Do we seek social justice? Are we bringing our community together? And are we really doing what God has called us to do? is our vision and our methods stemming from the ideas of others and from our own ideas or our the things were doing stemming from getting on our hands and knees and worshiping the God of the Ages. is He giving the wings to our dreams and aspirations or are we flying solo? I believe were in a dire need for people who are truly broken for Christ. We tend talk as if we are, but if we truly examine ourselves, are relationships and each other are we? and although this can be a tough pill to swallow, sometimes it is just what the doctor has prescribed. God has spoken deep in my heart, "Yes jordan you are broken, but in Me, in my providence, in my truth, in my love, in my Son, in my Spirit you have never been more whole. And you will never be more whole than when you are broken for me."

if I could leave you with one thought it would be this. "were called to seek Gods will, not his power."
