Squidoo lenses are a lot like Hubpages Hubs, an easy to configure publishing platform and another great way to get your content online easily and quickly. They are both free sites that allow individuals to publish and both have monetization opportunities for the entrepreneur.

Squidoo lenses are great for posting information on just about anything from personal-related (like connecting with animal lovers) to work-related (like marketing your business). One of the easiest ways to get your lenses viewed by more people and to get a better ranking is to use images!

It's as easy as that and the internet is full of photo sites that have free images if you sign up with them or images that cost as little as a dollar, it's definitely worth it.

Here are a few photo sites you might want to try when you spruce up your lense:

• fotolia offers a free account and access to nearly 6 million photos.
• freefoto has the largest collection of free photos on the web, however they do require you to give proper attribution and link back to the website.
• everystockphoto has a free membership and operates as a photo search engine for free photos.
• istockphoto is a free subscription that has over 4 million photos in its gallery, photos are prices as low as a dollar.

Squidoo lenses can be extremely valuable forcontent sharing and boosting your online marketing because of the exposure you can generate for your business. Squidoo is a popular site, visited by a large number of people daily, so it's a good way to get in front of the vast number of people who use Squidoo directly or find your content on the search engines.

The site is increasing in popularity because it's one of the easiest ways to get a page on the web, for free, and it has developed it's own community. Therefore, increasing your lens ranking on Squidoo increases your traffic within the Squidoo community and consequently on the internet in general. Search engines also like images and video instead of just text, so make sure to use image labels whenever possible.

There is a right way and a wrong way to get content on your web pages or Hubs or Squidoo lenses.  The right way takes longer in one sense, but the wrong way takes forever to fix!

The right way to create attractive content online would require an entire course.  So, for now we'll just concentrate on automatically sharing the right kind of content, the valuable kind that builds your reputation online.

Automatic content sharing involves using some key tools that will distribute your content to a variety of sites without your direct action every time.  THIS is where you can save time!

Tumblr and HelloTxt are two good examples of tools to use for leveraging your content - write it once, publish it many times ... automatically.

Tumblr is a specialized type of blogging platform that can be used to greatly leverage the distribution of your own blog posts (your unique valuable content).
