When we train its for many reasons bodybuilding/fitness,weight loss,muscle gain,to make ourselves feel better,to get stronger,feed our egos ect..... All these reasons are connected in many ways, so the question is "which person in the gym are you?" The bodybuilder/fitness person comes in with a plan and follows it to a t(not all but most). They do slower,more textbook reps, they flex there muscle during the set it get key nutrientsinto place,take adequate breaks in between sets becausethey want to look there best for the stage. They follow strict diet plans with calculated cheat days and do everything by the book.Then there's the muscle head a lazy version of the bodybuilder that wonders why he cant get the results he wants(hmmm beer and pizza don't make muscles why not lol) Sure they work hard but they often lack the detail and drive to make it to the next level.The next is my favorite the guy that comes in and does his workout fast, sloppy and claims hes strong. This is the guy who rants and raves about how he lifts more then you!(then you workout together prove him very wrong and he says "I had a bad day" or any other lamebrain excuse he can think of!) This guy also piles on the weight and uses his whole body just to move it 3" and wonders why he's hurt! We all know people like this,you try to give them advice on how to get better and it goes in one ear and out the other! Last but not least is the person whose just trying to change their physique for the better, their hungry, eager to learn,ready to listen,follow advise, ask questions and work hard. They're what we all start out as but who we forget to be.(then they end up in the meet head or I'm strong guy categoryand all hope is lost!!!)The one's who follow advise, learn from others,follow strict diets and workouts they become the people we see in flex,muscle mag,physique world, m&f and many other publications in the world. The people that figured out what works for them; had the detication to make the rest of us wish we were them, there the 5% that start out asking questions and never give up! So the question is which person in the gym are you??????
