There are quite a few different companies available in the US offering inbound call positions and if you have a quiet environment and all the necessary equipment and skills, it's almost guaranteed that you can secure a position within a few weeks. However, you need to be able to find companies that are currently hiring. Most of the positions offered by hiring companies are customer service related. You will either be accepting calls from current customers or from prospects hoping to obtain a new product or service. Sometimes you will be responsible for answering questions, but most companies provide a script for you to follow to help you out. Most telecommute employers pay fairly well to take inbound calls from home. The pay rate or scale varies by company. The different pay rates vary - most pay by one of the following:

If you are hoping to get insurance while taking inbound calls from home, the odds are very slim that you will find an employer offering benefits. Most of the companies require you to be an independent contractor, basically meaning you are self employed. This leaves you in charge of acquiring any neccessary medical, dental or health benefits, which can be very costly.
